This was a great little museum. The second floor apartment is actually the least interesting bit, and is detracted from by an unusual curitorial focus on items' make rather their use/function/context. What is much more interesting is artistry of doors and other bits and bobs of stunning craftsmanship displayed on the first floor. The day we visited the first floor was shut, and some of the cellar, perhaps that is why he wanted money on arrival. Felt like a shakedown. Pay what you want is a pointless idea with staff insisting on money upfront for a partially open museum so they can print a ticket where no ticket barriers exist. The majority of the museum has information in French only, so not especially good for those without strong French reading abilities. The city model on the top floor is the highlight. Toilet and locker...
