Hans Men's Sauna (level 8) — Local services in Taipei

I went on a Saturday (16/11/2024) after visiting a couple of the gay bars nearby and wanted to use it to kill time until the subway opened as well as to get some action. The reviews on this place are pretty mixed, so I had to go to find out for myself, and I'll say this:

Pros: The middle-aged staff member that greeted me when I arrived was very friendly and helpful. They give you a large towel (don't be like me and use it to dry yourself; use it as a cover and use the small towels in the shower instead). There were a lot of guys (some spill-over from the bars/clubs, I assume and others seemed more fresh, so they probably came from home) of all ages and body types. There is a lot of space to play. I especially liked the rooms that are covered by curtains. They have beds that are just mattresses on the floor. Lots of hot action going on there.The sauna was nice, but didn't feel as warm later and they turned on the light at some point in the early morning, which didn't do it for me.

Cons: The old worker that took over for what I assume is the day shift seems very prickly. I asked for an extra condom and he scolded me saying that I should come back and get another one as if I was littering the rooms with condoms and condom wrappers. The toilet smells like piss. (Probably the worst) Old people taking up a lot of space to sleep and some people playing on their phones in what should be a dark room; no mindfulness...

I'm a bottom, but topped like 4 guys that night (really liked the one twink, if I'm being honest), because the tops were all so iffy. One even started to get with the aforementioned twink after I already made him 'finish'. Lots of people that clocked that I am a foreigner (even though I'm confused for being Asian) were turned off of me (which is fine, but just to let you know what you can expect), even the only other foreigner I encountered (which I'm not even surprised by).

I will definitely go again though. Had lots of fun with...

Old place that caters to bear type older people however you do find some younger slim handsome locals that are into the more chunky type of guy.

This sauna is located on the 8th floor of a building and it compromises only one floor. There’s one sauna that is not hot, a steam room with no seats, and one dark room where we kept being stepped on because new people were coming in to make a bed so they could sleep. People go here to sleep as the price is cheaper than most saunas specially for foreigners and it’s cheaper than paying for a hotel. The vibe is weird and because they have a smoking balcony it does smell like cigarettes a bit. How we they have plenty of towels, shaving kits and toothbrushes available for everyone. Toilets have a strong smell of urine and you don’t see anyone cleaning it. There’s no spa environment so not a good place to relax. This was my first time experiencing a gay bath house in Asia. If you're like me and used to the set up and standards of western bath houses, this one may come as a bit of a surprise. The facilities were clean and comfortable and seemed to be a good size. Every time I've gone, even during peak hours, it's never overly crowded like some are. There's still enough space to move around and enjoy your time. The upstairs is a little scary. It's dark and difficult to navigate and I'm unsure exactly of what it's purpose is. I'm assuming it's the "sleeping" areas but there aren't any beds, just open closet-like rooms with pillows and floor mats. It's very strange when comparing it to Western bath houses that have private rooms for rent. This facility is not even close to as nice as Aniki Wow or Taipei I/O but I'd say has almost the exact...
