Clover Hair Salon — Local services in Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict

So I didn't want to write a hard review but maybe I should to inform others. I went to this place expecting Japanese Hairdressing Expertise and I can't say I've experienced it.

From the first moment I felt I was being rushed. I went there especially because someone left a review saying that he is patient in discussing the style you want and delivering that. Maybe for certain customers, not for my case.

My request was to get a hair cut with some style and reducing some volume and he has reduced the volume. However, I've never seen any hairdresser cutting the ends bluntly and leaving it just like that. The spots that have been cut bluntly don't blend naturally with other parts of hair.

I briefly mentioned saying "If you cut my hair just straight and leave it it will look aweful like you randomly chopped it." and to that he again gave me the look he didn't understand and just finished it there. I was a bit surprised but I still trusted he did it with his expertise and also he kept saying I got so much hair, so I left it at chance.

But not even within an hour I realized I made a really bad decision of either going there or leaving there just like that. When I took a photo of myself I really could see how bad my hair was. It was not in a form and condition you would expect for 1200 Baht. 1200 Baht could be an average price depends on which country you are in or the level of the Salon but for this level of service, definitely not.

It's shame I have to list out stuff like this but I'm left with no choice. Now I have to wait for my hair to grow and even out until I go to someone who can fix this. What makes me wonder is though how this place is keeping 4.9 average review. Is it that the service was particularly bad towards me? If that's the case then that's even...

I booked my appointment through Google Chat, and the Japanese owner is fantastic at English and super quick to respond. I've always gone to Japanese hair salons, even back home, and this one was just as great. The owner really knows his craft. Plus, there’s an adorable four-legged receptionist named Cupid! As a dog lover, having her sit on my lap the whole time was a real treat. She’s such a sweetie! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely come back next time I’m here in BKK!
