I've been to Bangkok many times, but this is my first time visiting here with my family and I had the opportunity to visit a renowned charity organization dedicated to donating coffins. As someone who has been to Bangkok multiple times, I was deeply moved by the organization's selfless efforts to provide a dignified farewell to those in need.

In Thai culture, doing good deeds is highly valued, and 义德善堂 embodies this spirit. Their mission to donate coffins not only brings peace to the deceased but also fosters a sense of community and compassion. I was impressed by the organization's dedication to spreading kindness and virtue.

I'd like to share my entire process of donating a coffin. First, we will received two receipts after donating money at the counter. Two receipts - a red one with my name and donation amount, and a white one with my name written by a volunteer.

After that, I attached the red receipt to the coffin and sincerely prayed for my wishes to come true. Holding the white receipt, I followed the order to worship the gods, explaining my requests and plans to fulfill them. Although incense is not provided, I purchased candles on site and continued my worship.

Finally, I burned the white receipt in the incense burner, symbolizing my request for the gods to listen to my prayers.

This experience at 义德善堂 has left a deep impression on me. The organization's selfless efforts to provide a dignified farewell to those in need, while promoting kindness and virtue, are truly admirable. I will be...

I happened to visit during Thailand’s Buddhist Lent Festival (Khao Phansa), a significant time in the Buddhist calendar that marks the beginning of the monks’ three-month rainy season retreat. During this period, locals often engage in merit-making activities such as offering food and essentials to monks, donating to the temple, or participating in charitable events.

At the site, there were well-organized opportunities to make merit and give alms. Some of the staff members could speak Chinese and were very kind in guiding foreign visitors through the process. What stood out to me was that everything was completely voluntary — there was no pressure, no sales, just a genuine space for people to do good according to their own ability and intention.

It was a peaceful and heartwarming experience. I sincerely hope these efforts can reach and benefit those who truly need support. Witnessing this part of Thai culture reminded me how compassion and kindness can transcend language...

I came here expecting just another Thai-Chinese charity spot… but 義德善堂 hit me right in the heart with its calm, respectful energy and low-key hero vibes 🛕❤️🕯️

This place isn’t flashy, but the spirit? Huge. An old-school charitable foundation doing real work — helping with cremation services, support for the poor, and emergency rescue missions. It’s like that humble grandpa who doesn’t talk much but has quietly helped half the neighborhood. The building’s filled with the scent of incense, golden deities, and that heavy silence that feels… peaceful. Like even the wind lowers its voice here.

Paid respects, made a small donation, and walked out feeling more grounded than a Wi-Fi router. If karma had a headquarters, it’d probably look like this.

Not your typical tourist spot — but if you wanna feel the deeper pulse of Bangkok, this place speaks softly and carries...
