This is the best restaraunt me and my wife visited in Istanbul. It is away from the tourist areas, and you’ll find it packed with locals eating the best authentic Turkish style food. We had the mixed grill with yogurt drink (comes frothy and fresh in a cold copper like cup). The portion is enormous and the price is the cheapest we have seen. They are so generous with the portions and they are much friendlier than the usual resteraunt we visited in turkey. I tried this restaurant some 5 years ago and it was fine. However, it continued to get lower and lower in quality until I saw the worst experience today! I am very dissatisfied with my experience in this restaurant..! The food was of very, very poor quality! The meat was very dry and the rice was very old.. I could easily note that the meat was not fresh but heated! The quantity was very small as if they were presenting us some samples to try!! Come on dude!! Some of us asked for Ayran but returned it once they noted that it was almost like water! Overall, very disappointing experience! I do not recommend...

I came from Germany and came with a friend from Istanbul. I wanted to see the heart of istanbul and the people, oriental foods and desserts in the best form. A man named Ismail was very nice with the Service. We just came to eat something, but thanks to him and his talks, I had a really nice evening. The Kebab was the best I have ever eaten and we had turkish black tea on the house for the rest of the evening following turkish coffe. As a foreigner I didn’t pay more as there are places I had to.
