We went to Istanbul for a couple of days and decided to visit Kadikoy. Saw this place and decided to eat here, as there were lots of people so, naturally, we thought it was a good choice. When we sat down, this girl came with menus and greeted us in Turkish. When she realized we were tourists, she just dropped the menus on the table and barely said hi. We noticed this, but didn't say anything as we were too hungry, so we just wanted to order asap. We realized that the whole menu was in Turkish, so we looked for the girl to ask her for the English version. Even though she could see us looking towards her, she didn't approach at all. Eventually she came to serve the table next to us, so we took that opportunity to ask her for the English menu. She rolled her eyes, came after a couple of minutes and once again just dropped the menus on the table. When we were finally ready to order, we looked for the girl once again because nobody had approached us for more than 15min. She saw us and she just turned her back, leaned on the entrance door and just stood there, chilling. This was the moment when we had enough and decided to just leave, as this kind of service is unacceptable. Maybe the food there is nice, at least it seemed so. But I wouldn't know, as nobody wanted to serve us drinks, let alone food. Such a shame, as all the other places in Istanbul had amazing, super...
Read moreIf you want to have a decent dinner, My Chef is the best place. First of all, there are lots of alternatives in menu so if you don't know what you want or if you and your partner or your friends can't aggre on the same kitchen then this is the right place.
On the other hand if you know what you want to eat and if you don't how much it will cost, then My Chef may disappoint you just like the time when I wanted to have a salad without any special toppings (chicken, beef, fish etc) there were no alternatives.
Its a great place for a date (especially the top floor with its quite atmosphere) and also for groups. Prices are not to high so its another reason to go My Chef instead of other places with the same atmosphere and great scale of kitchens. But it's almost always crowded, especially during dinner, so you should either go early or just believe in your luck to have the...
Read moreThe food is amazing and I come here very often but this morning we were there at 9am when Google says they open and the waitress who was outside (Long dark curly hair) was yelling at us “no, closed!” and was waving her hands in a very rude way. We tried to ask her when they open, we even used google translate but she was only saying “I don’t know” again in a very rude way and she was trying to make us go away. That’s a pity cause it’s a good restaurant, I understand she couldn’t speak English but she was incredibly rude with zero social skills or willingness to tell us when they open. We left laughing and she cursed...
