Texas Roadhouse — Local services in Abu Dhabi

I’ve most definitely eaten at Texas Roadhouse for 12+ times this year now and all those days I felt satisfied with what I ate. There’s this male server who served us twice (I’m kind of upset that I still don’t know his name) but he reminds me a lot of Manny Jacinto, the actor, and that server is probably the most charming person I’ve met in this country. He’s really charming and undeniably handsome (I’m sorry if this feels offensive to him but I just had to get that out of my chest), but not only that, the reason why he stood out the most is that he’s the only server in Texas Roadhouse who’s attentive and had the initiative whenever we needed something. We’ve noticed that the majority of servers here aren’t observant enough, although I get that the place is packed with hungry people most of the time so they’re expected to be distracted with some tables, I still really appreciated that he was the only one who took the time to notice our needs (the other servers would just pass by our table even if we were calling their attention). You can really tell that this particular male server tries to make sure that the guests/diners’ experience in Texas Roadhouse will be great.

Besides this incredible male server, I also love the food in this place. The Texas Roadhouse ribs really live up to its name “fall-off-the-bone” and “award-winning” since it’s cooked perfectly with enough seasoning and sauce to make it even more delicious. Something about their ribs takes me back to childhood, but at the same time another part of it feels new, so don’t act shocked that I think about it almost everyday. Their main dishes, especially the ones with chicken, are quite flavorful and easy to eat. Don’t be afraid to take home your leftovers by the way, because I personally think the Country Fried Chicken still tastes good even after you eat it the next day. I won’t even forget to mention how exceptional their salads are, you really need to try it! I’ve already recommended their salads to my friends and family, since I know people will find it tasty how the croutons just blend well with the dressing. Lastly, I rarely forget to order their starters and drinks since they make them so well. I can confidently say that almost every appetizer they offer is extraordinary and even kinda addicting. Their drinks aren’t bland at all, if you want something that has strawberry, then you really will taste the flavor of strawberries, same applies to their other beverages.

Whenever I feel that I cannot decide where to eat, I end up eating at Texas Roadhouse since I am assured that I will be satisfied and impressed with what I order, unlike with other places. May this company live for many decades! I need my future grandchildren to taste those spectacular ribs (except if we decide to turn into vegetarians, lol...

Just had our dinner with my mom and a friend. We were welcomed by your hostess and bring us to our table.

AMBIANCE: 8/10 Warm lights makes our dining relaxing. Only the music quite off for me because it’s a little too loud.

TABLE SET UP: 8/10 pretty much plain. No extra tissue or tissue ready on the table. We didnt ask for it anymore as we used the tissue from our cutlery. Speaking of cutlery, better put spoon instead of 2 forks. If its really like that better put steak knife, dinner fork and a salad fork if ever a customer would order a salad.

STAFF: 7.5/10 Our server that time, i dont feel his energy not to the point he needs to dance. I know he had the whole day already and maybe he’s tired, I know the feeling. But I didnt feel the connection between customer and the server. Not yet 10mins when we sat and he was asking already for our order which we are not yet ready but we already gave our order because he looks like he wants to finish our order. And btw, You should know also when to ask the customer for their order if they’re ready or not bec you have a lot in your menu. Probably train your FOH regarding with this.

FOOD: 9/10 we ordered ribeye, I didnt expect this to be quick as 10mins I think and to think we order medium well. Texas Fries is BOMB!! I loved it. But the welcome bread + the cinnamon spread thing is 1000000% ftw.

MANAGER: 9.5/10 He asked us regarding our food, if we need something else. And for me as a former manager also back in the Philippines, that is how professional he is to us. And as a person who’s working also now here in Abu Dhabi, Kudos for him!

Overall experience dining here in Texas Roadhouse - 8.5/10 still recommendable and would def be back for different food offers you have here. Thank you and I hope you have a happy...

Below was my original post from a couple of months back. My original rating was a 1 star due to the poorly cooked steak.

Today I wanted steak again and ordered the exact same meal I had the issue with last time. Server was named Sunny I believe and he was great. Brought out our appetizers as requested before the meal. Had drinks refilled on time, great service all around. Food came out today and it was cooked perfectly as ordered. I am upgrading my original 1 star rating to 5 stars. I am leaving the original post below. Everyone needs a second chance to get things right. They got it right this time.

Not sure i will return Very disappointed today with my meal. I frequent this restaurant on a monthly basis and have never had any issues before. Tonight was the exception. Ordered my normal appetizer of shrimp and a sirloin cowboy cut, loaded baked potato and garden salad. The shrimp appetizer came out first as instructed with no issues, good taste and freshly cooked. Salad was to come out next. Got salad and it was just as i ordered. As i was finishing my salad, my steak came out. I ordered medium like i always do. It came out.medium.rare and was sent back. I told the waiter tell them a quick 1-2 minutes on grill should be perfect. I waited, i waited, i waited. Was i getting a new steak? 10-15 minutes went by. They returned the steak, this time cooked well done. Frustrated, i left after paying my bill and having them remove the steak. I went across to the mall over to cheesecake factory. Ordered the steak diane, and it came out perfectly. Not sure its worth my time and money...
