I was absolutely blown away by my recent visit to Shvilli. From the moment I tasted the first bite, I felt an undeniable sense of authenticity. Though I've never been to Georgia, the flavors were so vibrant and true that I immediately felt transported. The food here is simply outstanding. The undisputed highlight was the Khachapuri. It was more than just a cheese bread it was an overwhelming culinary experience. The taste was so original and comforting; itās a dish that lives up to its hype and then some. The Khinkali were equally impressive. While they were somewhat similar to a style of dumpling I've had from another cuisine, the Khinkali at Shvilli were on an entirely different level. The delicate wrapper and savory, perfectly seasoned filling were truly masterful. Beyond the incredible food, the staff elevated the entire evening. It was my birthday, and they surprised me with a lovely birthday cake! This thoughtful gesture was genuinely appreciated, and the service throughout the night was impeccable. A special shout-out to Ahmad for his attentiveness and kindness. If you are looking for an amazing dining experience and want to discover the richness of Georgian cuisine, Shvilli is a must-visit. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was our first time dining at a Georgian restaurant, and we were excited to explore the variety of options on the menu. The selection included salads, main courses, and what we assume to be traditional Georgian dishes. Since weāre not very familiar with the cuisine, we appreciated how the staff explained everything to us, making it easier to understand the menu. A particular staff member (unfortunately, I didnāt catch her name) went out of her way to explain each dish, its ingredients, and the most popular items. Her effort and hospitality really stood out!
We had a pleasant experience overall and enjoyed the food. We chose to sit outside, which was a nice option, though they also offer indoor seating.
The only downside was the portion sizes. The servings were quite small compared to the prices, which made it feel a bit overpriced. If youāre very hungry, you may need to order more dishes than usual to feel satisfied.
In summary, itās a nice place with good food and excellent service, but keep in mind that the portions are on the smaller side...
