The Cheesecake Factory — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

I’ve enjoyed my pass experiences at The Cheesecake Factory in Galleria Mall Abu Dhabi, and I would usually give them a rating of 5 stars.

However, my recent experience was a little disappointing, not of the service or the atmosphere and ambiance of the place but of the particular dish that my wife and I picked this time round for lunch.

I ordered “Fish n Chips and my wife ordered a Asian chicken salad… the ironic thing thing about this particular review, was not because we waited for so long for service but how quickly we received our starts and main within a short time… This maybe funny but it’s not! ‘It is one thing to wait a period of time for your meals especially your mains due to under staff or the restaurant being really busy and popular.. This I can understand! However, as a person who is quite familiar with cooking and delivering meals and dinner functions from 20- 200 people at one time, there is also the question asked??? When a meal arrives too fast or within minutes after you order? The question you now have to ask? Was the meal that you chose from the menu cooked within reasonable time and prepared within the allocated time from ordering and receiving it….. Or was the food pre-prepared and was the other accompanying side dishes under a warmer or sitting under warmer? Such as chips or battered fish! Was the salad freshly made or was it buck made and sitting there until requested by a client? The question you now have to ask is… Are you dinning in a respectful reputable restaurant or are you dinning in a ‘Fast-Food ‘ restaurant like McDonalds or Burger King!’

The Fish and Chips that I was served was not only heavily battered and saturated with fat but the fish also was dry and had a bad odor? The chips from experience as a food lover and experience was I believe as reheated or has been sitting under a warmer for some time… Here’s a thought!’

In my experience, McDonalds Restaurant will only have their French fries sitting under the warmer heaters, no more than 3min, if you thought that your fries were served cold or have been sitting there for a while, you are entitled to ask McDonald to replace them with fresh fries at any time! Which is great!

I sure hope that this is the same policy that ‘The Cheesecake Factory, applies to their food? My wife’s salad was no better? Here’s a clue, when lettuce and other vegetables look discolored and droopy and bitter and warm, it’s pretty bad! It not hard to make fresh salad, so these dishes should never be pre-made and please do not add source until you are serving to the client..? Maybe next time..

I must make a special mention though to the Restaurant Manager on duty at the time for his professionalism, his mannerisms and etiquette of wanting to solve the problem and come to a solutions! The Cheesecake Factory at Al Maryah Island truly lives up to its reputation. We ordered steaks, burgers, a kids’ meal, and of course, the signature original cheesecake. Every dish was cooked well and tasted delicious — juicy burgers, perfectly done steak, and the cheesecake was as rich and creamy as expected. The kids enjoyed their meal too, which makes it a very family-friendly spot.

Even though the restaurant was crowded when we visited, the staff managed everything impressively. Service was attentive and courteous despite the rush, and our food arrived without too much delay.
