Golden Plaice — Local services in Bath

We came here solely based of on the high reviews not really knowing what to expect. We thought it was too good to be true but oh were we wrong. An incredibly enjoyable experience. The resturant was filled to the brim with only one seating table inside and we were luck to have gotten it. Quite a while waiting for the food but at least we knew it was fresh. I visited Golden Plaice for the first time last week, and really enjoyed the fish and chips. The menu offers classic British fish and chip staples, and does not disappoint. We had a battered cod, large portion of chips, mushy peas and a sausage. Everything was hot and tasty. The cod, in particular, was very sweet and the batter was spot on. Such large portions for a regular size of orders, they're very generous with their portions and the price is absolutely brilliant for Bath! I highly recommend this place. The chicken nuggets are to die for and they sell more than just fish and nuggets. It's all really good quality, portion size and value. So much cheaper than my usual Plymouth based haunt where you can pay North of £17 for chips, curry...
