Ever since I have found this shop and realized that they do authentic Korean food I have been visiting every week at least once if not twice. But today I have to say I was a bit disappointed with one of the guys who worked at the till today, usually or at least from my previous experiences if you buy hot food they will give you a plastic bag without asking to stop it from spilling as the food source is often red and can be difficult to remove the stains, but today he didn’t offer any and asked if I needed a bag which to my understanding is the shopping bag and I often carry one with me so I said no need, then he still didn’t pack the food for me so I asked normally you would give a bag for the food, then he said, so you need a bag after all, with a condescending tone which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Read moreHaving been a customer for many years now I've noticed they've been cutting corners and lowering their standards in the hot food section whilst raising the prices. The last time I bought kimbab they hadn't even bothered cutting it into pieces and the filling was just pickled radish and a few vegetables. The japchae is mainly noodles and nothing else e.gmushrooms vegetables beef. The hot food where you select your own is barely eatable its so oily, and yet the prices are extortionate. I feel like they are ripping people off who are not familiar with Korean food. Go and order from Cocobab to get better quality experience at same price. I've also noticed that the kimchi/fresh vegetable/tofu section never see to be fully stocked. This store has seen better days...they probably cater more to the Chinese student...

The late closing time of 9pm helps a lot if your working till 5-6pm. You can park at the Esso petrol station with the Tesco extra for free, with a short walk over the main road to them.
They have a good selection of fresh veg from Thailand, China etc and frozen items with each countries too brands. It's prefect for your weekly Asian shopping and good prices. We normally go to Wing Yip as it's far larger, wider range and bulk buys as it's for wholesale too. Would go again when needed and recommend to anyone after far Eastern...
