Went for a meal with some friends recently and the customer service we received was shocking and completely uncalled for. I had ordered the vegan chickpea burger, which was advertised to come with a 'chilli slaw'. It arrived with only the burger patty and a sad piece of lettuce which looked extremely dry. Upon requesting the chilli slaw, I was then given several portions of coleslaw and a side of chilli sauce. This is not at all what is advertised and the coleslaw is not vegan as it would have contained mayo. This has happened before and instead I had requested cheese to make the burger less dry, which was met with a very unwilling and rude response by the server. It appears to me that they cannot be bothered to make the chilli slaw as it would involve grating the ingredients separately and it is easier for them to sell pre-made coleslaw. Several friends had ordered the salt beef burger, which was advertised to come with two patties and seasoned fries. All the plates that came out had only one patty and plain fries. Upon mentioning this to a woman who appeared to be in charge, she came back to us after visiting the kitchen and informed us that they had used a 6oz burger as they had no 3oz burgers left. This seemed highly doubtful as the patty was the same size as others who had ordered a normal sized burger. They had also failed to mention this to us which was very unprofessional and upon questioning this, they became very defensive and rude, failing to make any sort of apology or make up for this. If this was the case, it should have been mentioned upon delivering the food. The bouncers stood around our table as if to intimidate us and after several arguments about the way they had handled it, we eventually gave up on the argument due to them making us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. We expected a better service from a greeneking pub and we most certainly will not be visiting again.

Would recommend avoiding the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken dishes! It was so terribly sweet and I felt like I was having dessert! I’m the type of person who hates creating any sort of hassle as I know how stressful working in the kitchen can be, however the usual etiquette is that if the customer finds the food unpleasant, the kitchen offers some sympathy/ remakes it. Staff and management got involved to tell me that apparently I, as a person of Indian origin, do not know what ‘butter chicken’ or ‘chicken tikka masala’ should taste like? They said they cannot remake the food and this is how it is. My British friend also disliked it and found it too sweet for her taste, so I’m really not sure who they are catering to here… I understand that mild curries are less spicy however that doesn’t mean you add a ton of sugar or cream! I had a few bites and left due to the unbearably weird taste… It’s a shame as the rest of their dishes are alright… however after this experience I can’t say that I’ll be going back anytime soon.

Indisciplined and intolerant restaurant. On 18th Feb, I visited The Soak Bar and Grill with friends and family. We ordered Burger for my son and friend. Menu doesn't call out Beef as ingredient anywhere on the menu. The Soak Bar and Grill is not following gov norms to call out ingredients either below or just next to food being ordered. I been to Singapore multiple times. Restaurants does check if we are confirmable having beer and highlights articles made of Chicken/beef/pork. The Soak Bar and Grill is calling out chicken, lamb and anything but not beef. This restaurant is a shame. On registering reservations to beef and requesting chicken burger, they charged to pay for Chicken Burger additionally. While I went to pay, they were whispering and passing comments. I will never recommend THE SOAK BAR AND GRILL to anyone in my life.

Well usually I have the steak and it's fabulous but last night I ventured into trying something new so had the sharer with fish goujons, chips, cocktail sausages and two mini burgers and after a roughly 45 minute wait I was disappointed this time..

My mini burgers were a regular sized patty poorly broken in half and the buns were made up of a regular sized burger bun cut in half, the lady bringing the food did not apologise for this and left it as if it was absolutely normal and nothing amiss..

When confronted with the menu's pictures and my own poor ensemble she finally said they were out of burgers and that it was not her fault to which I told her "No perhaps not, but your chef should have told you and you should have then told me" I then let her know that my hp sauce was in fact BBQ and she made up on the spot that they were out of hp (again not a problem had she just come and said..) she offered a refund which I now regret not taking but frankly there was a random guy standing right behind me and I was a bit unsure about his place in the situation so that combined with my ferocious hunger and the amount of time I'd waited/sheer desperation I took my sad plate back to my table and ate the chips goujons and what I could of the rest with my partner ..

Spend almost forty pounds last night having drinks and a lush night so to be faced with this situation in a place that is managed so well by the rather more experienced management is just a shame, not sure if when this lady is in charge that I will not turn around and go eat somewhere else cause convenience and good food was not in sight last night and it was an incredibly quiet night when I...

Usually a standard pub, but today, when it was not busy at all (when we ordered our food we were 2 of 10 customers), our food took an hour to come. This was disappointing because all they're doing is reheating it yet it took that long, and when no one else was ordering food either. When the food eventually came, the portion sizes were lacking, especially when it came to the chips, the cheapest part of the meal you'd expect more of, but there was hardly a handful. Also the burgers were advertised in the menu as coming with dipping sauce, but there was no sauce; however, at that point it had been so long that we did not want to delay the process any further. We ordered a dessert at the beginning as well, before we realised it would take an hour for them to make 2 burgers and a child size portion of chips. This of course also took ages, despite again, all them needing to do was to heat it up. Also it was described as an 'eton mess cup' with 'eton mess' ice cream and a strawberry. There was no strawberry and the ice cream just tasted like supermarket own brand strawberry ice cream. Overall I realise that this is a pub not a restaurant, but there are still some standards that I expect to be upheld, that being not having to wait an hour for mediocre food (especially when there was no one else to cook for or serve drinks to), and for there to be a healthy portion size- I was disappointed on...
