I couldn’t recommend Bristol Ferry Boats more highly! I booked a 3hr private hire for my sister’s hen do and it was the highlight of everyone’s weekend.

During the booking stages everyone I dealt with in the office was absolutely wonderful (especially Roisin!) and quickly addressed my queries and were more than happy to recommend pub stops along the route.

On the day itself the boat was ready and waiting for us, we had a quick safety briefing and we were off!! We had originally booked Margaret but we were upgraded to Independence on the day, which has speakers to play music and is BYOB. The harbour is so pretty and the boat is a lovely colourful backdrop for pictures. We stopped at the Ostrich and Grain Barge en route which are both lovely riverside pubs that were happy to accommodate our group size outdoors.

The crew were fantastic, I must’ve had one too many Prosecco as unfortunately I can remember the lady’s name, only Captain Nev’s. Both crew were absolutely lovely and made our day! They were easy going with a group of chatty hens and engaged with us along the way. Thank you so much!!

We’re recommending Bristol Ferry Boats to all of our friends and I’ll definitely be booking in again for our next...

Having never been on one of the longer trips using the Bristol Ferry company we weren't really sure what to expect. We'd used the shuttle riverboat from Temple Meads to the Centre on numerous occasions so had a rough idea of what we'd experience. Our boat arrived promptly at 3pm as advertised and we were all boarded pretty quickly and ready to set sail. We were given a thorough safety demonstration before we set off. The crew were both very friendly and informative and no sooner had we set sail that the bar was open on board. There was a large selection of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available and all very well priced as well. The journey to Beeses was just under an hour but in truth the journey flew by, it was really interesting to see Bristol from a different angle.

Our return journey set off exactly on time and the staff ensured everyone was well catered for on the return journey.

All in all it was an amazing day out, this is suitable for couples, families of all ages and groups, on our trip everyone was made to feel welcome and like a really...

From the moment I first contacted Bristol ferries until the end of the 2 hour trip everyone I communicated with were very friendly and helpful. When arranging an event with a group of 25 people, it can sometimes be a bit challenging. The Bristol ferry team were always supportive with the planning process and ready to answer an queries. The 3 man crew welcomed us aboard Matilda and after a quick safety briefing we set sail. Matilda has a covered cabin area and a bar on board. Despite the weather being a bit damp and cool, we spent most of our time out on the foredeck. We sailed around the harbour for an hour before we had one pub stop for 40 minutes, finishing with a further 20minutes sailing back to the starting point. With a few drinks and good company we all had a great evening and would recommend this trip as a different type of evening entertainment. Thank you...

Just had a fab morning aboard the Bristol Ferry Company's History Tour! It was well worth the money for 90 minutes on the water, seeing Bristol from a different angle. We were made most welcome by Mike the Skipper, and Chris who provided the commentary. Chris really knew his stuff and we learnt lots. The trip took us from near the Mud Dock to beyond Templemeads, and all the way to the Cumberland Basin, passing sights such as the SS Great Britain and Matthew, along the way. A great thing to do on your next visit to Bristol whether you're local or visiting. Highly recommended. Thanks Chris and Mike! Jo, Brendan and Hebe from Bath x
