Wonderland House — Hotel in Great Britain

Fifteen of us stayed for a hen party and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt as me though we had literally stepped into wonderland! There is so much attention to detail- the lights, furniture and even the crockery is themed! The enchanted table which lights up is just magical and was the perfect space for celebrating with the bride to be. The property has four toilets, three showers, two kitchens and plenty of beds (no sharing required!) The house has costumes already provided, which meant we could get dressed without everyone having to bring their own. The booking process, check in and check out was smooth, with the benefit of late as you like check out on Sunday! There was no onerous cleaning requested like some properties- you were just asked to empty the bins and separate dirty and clean towels, which was a nice change from onerous cleaning rules in other places I have stayed. Both the owner and property manager could not have been more helpful both before and during the stay, responding to requests within a few hours. Before booking I asked the owner if the property was suitable for some of our party who have mobility issues and was sent a number of photos of the front step, ground floor bedroom and bathroom along with information about the stairs, which was incredibly helpful and meant those staying could decide if the property was accessible for them. Recommendations were made for local catering companies and we had an amazing afternoon tea provided by Mad Platters. Location is perfect- you are less than half a mile from Proud Caberet, two minutes from the beach and pier and less than a mile from the town. There are local car parks less than a five minute walk away (the house has no street parking) which can be pre-booked for the weekend. The train station is 25 minute walk and the bus stop is five minutes away, so there are plenty of transport options. Wonderland House was a fortunate find, a slice of serendipity that now commands its own, dedicated chapter in our family folklore after the most extraordinary stay there with my children.

Shops around the corner, beach across the road, Brighton town centre nearby but also suitably detached to be quiet, it was as optimal in location as it was flawless in hospitality.

And flawless it was. Wonderland House was perfect for our group needs, sufficient space to isolate from each other, but those rooms where we congregated were intimate and charming, and we enjoyed each and every single minute of our precious time together as a result.

I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail, charming little touches everywhere you looked - the mirrors, the door handles and lamps, some really beautiful pieces - extraordinary consideration has gone into the look and presentation of the house.

And Jacqueline, the host, was gracious in her help, thoughtful in her decisions and always quick to respond.... I would like to thank her for everything she did to make it all happen in the way...

Highly recommend! 16 of us stayed for two nights in October for a hen party. The house is incredibly spacious and everyone was accommodated comfortably. The house is beautifully themed throughout with lots of small details! The house is very well supplied with hairdryers, irons, ironing boards, towels and the kitchen has everything you need (crockery, glasses, utensils). Plenty of bathrooms so no queues! Fab location for the pier, bars and restaurants but is far enough away that it's very quiet at night. Great location to travel to as well - guests came by car and train. Train station is a short cab ride and there were nearby car parks to arrange longer stay parking at a reasonable price. The host is incredibly helpful and communicated well throughout the whole process. We also had an afternoon tea recommended by the host which was a fabulous addition!
