I have trouble with my vision and I often ask for help just double checking what platform my trains leave from due to my blurred vision making it hard to read timetables and screens that are far away. I had just finished work and my regular train that leaves from platform 3 to exmouth was closed with a big sign I couldn’t decipher but I could see that something was visibly blocking my path. Whilst my ticket wasn’t checked there was a member of staff present so I asked why the platform as closed. He said to read the sign - I explained that I have problems with my vision and I can’t see what the sign says I can only see that it’s obstructing the walkway. So I asked where those trains would depart from and once again was told to read the sign. I told them I couldn’t read the sign. Like I visibly cannot read the details due to a health reason that gives me blurred vision. The guy just sighed and walked off. Why are staff like this? It wasn’t even an obscure request.
