It’s our 30th Wedding Anniversary in July this year and an eternity ring was on the shopping list. This really lovely jewellers was recommended to us whilst on holiday in Italy! We made it our first port of call. I had a look online, showed my chosen ones to my husband then rang Mortimers. I was fortunate to be helped by Andrea who WhatsApped across my chosen rings glittering enticingly on her finger. After booking a 15 min appointment to have various items of jewellery looked at I was extremely disappointed in the obvious lack of interest from the 'buyer' and his lack of customer service. The young lady who had initially sat me at a table had demonstrated more interest in some of the pieces. When the 'buyer' sat down, he looked at 2 or 3 pieces, didn't give me any information on any of them, one being a very old cameo ring plus a jade ring and earring set. I was dismissed within 3/4 mins being told I should take the pieces to auction. I was left at the table to pack away the jewellery on my own, I felt rather uncomfortable with the attitude conveyed. They have some exceptional pieces in store and if they do not have what you are looking for they will try to source it for you. A lot of the jewelry they offer is pre-owned so you get very good value for money as there is no VAT. I have purchased several pieces from them now and I have been very happy with all of them. All the staff in the store are very knowledgeable and willing to spend time with you showing you pieces that you may be interested in.
