Horrible Costumer service. I booked table for my Birthday online couple weeks before coming in. There was no information whatsoever that we will have to show ID even when we have SOFT DRINK in Afternoon. We were all over 20 years old so law was no broken. The women who served me (small hight, ginger haired and chubby build) poured for me wrong pint. I am bilingual so I guess she doesn't have experience with international accents. I even apologise and ask very politely if she could change it. She immediately became very rude and her attitude changed. I understand that people can have a bad day or can be annoyed but that's not how you treat people. She asked me imidietly for ID with big attitude after she had pour for me drink. I did show her my ID so it must of not satisfied her enough. Then she went to my table. My 21 year old friend had lemonade and she asked for his ID. He didn't have one on him. I saied to this women that I have birthday today and my friend is drinking soft drink. Also I mention that I booked table online and there was no information whatsoever that ID is required to be served soft drink and that he is 20 years old. Her face had a smirk and she saied in awfully rude tone of the voice without apologising that she doesn't care. I asked her if it because of the pint that she pourd by mistake she is taking out on us. She laughing into my face. She saied that I am not getting any money back (drinks were untouched) until I raised my tone of voice to state that I want my money back. Also she mocked my accent which I found xenophobic. Overall they lost 10 costumers that afternoon. It used to been our favourite pub to go and we never had that terrible experience. We never will be back and honestly spoons is close by and they are...
Read moreWouldn’t recommend!! The bouncers and staff have absolutely no regard for women’s safety. The very rude and aggressive bouncer ( fat ginger guy with arm tattoos ) decided that my friend was “too drunk” and took it upon himself to take her away from the table that she was sitting at , with her friends (not causing any trouble just sitting having a drink of water ) she was escorted out without any of her belongings and once outside she was told she wasn’t getting back in. The bouncer had no consideration for my friend’s safety or wellbeing. Taking a vulnerable women away from her friend’s without her phone or belongings is absolutely out of order. He could have easily spoke to one of us at the table explained the situation and we could have left with our friend, but instead she was singled out, and left outside helpless on her own not allowed to get back into get her phone or bag. The bouncer even refused to go get it for her. Which I think is disgusting behaviour! When me and another friend went out to make sure my friend was okay and ask what was happening the bouncer right away had a terrible attitude. I told him I was going back in to collect our belongings and he refused us entry back in. All because we came to check on our friend. I explained to the bouncer we have to get back inside as none of us had our phones ,bags or jacket he told us this was not his problem. Now leaving 3 woman outside with no way to contact the rest of the group. When trying to explain this to the bouncer he became physically aggressive! Overall awful experience with no staff checking in on the situation.Places like this preach about safety for women but there was absolutely none of that from the bouncer or the staff in the ark on...
Read moreI wouldn't even give the place one star!
Group of us were booked in here last night, was the second pub of the evening we had entered. The ginger "bouncer" had decided that one of the girls had one to many.....on that note, wasnt displaying any disorderly behaviours, was siting drinking water at our table. The ginger "bouncer" (with no SIA badge in sight and refused to give us his badge number) came up to my friend escorted her out the premises with not so much as her jacket, bag, purse, anything! Dragged her out without even saying to one of our group. Highly concerning for a young lady to be papped in the street alone with two "bouncers".
When you think it couldn't get any worse two of my friends went out to see what was going on...... The "bouncer" stated, she wasn't getting back in, so my friend went back in to collect her belongings and their own belongings to get told "no your not getting back in".
Leaving now three young ladies on the street with no means to contact the rest of the group, absolutely disgusting. One of the three girls tried to walk back in to say to the rest of the group and collect their belongings, he then started using unlawful restraint / aggressive manual handling not only to one of my friends but two. One of them now has bruising. Talk about abusing your poisiton. Also tried to place one of the girls in citizens arrest.
Absolutely shocking behaviour and I will be contacting the door staffs employer (SGL) but I certainly wouldn't be happy with him on the door of my establishment. I will be warning all females to stay clear of this environment so they also don't wake up with bruises from...
