This is the only place in York where you will find genuine antiques and other items of interest here. Most are reasonably priced and affordable. The cafe upstairs is worth a visit too but a little expensive unless you just require a coffee & a sit down. A place of quite relaxing atmosphere here too wonderfully arranged cabinets to browse and enjoy.. The staff are very friendly and helpful should you wish to look at a item.. I’ve been in this shop 3 times over the last year and honestly every time I’ve been in the staff have been very rude, most recent experience the staff were having a conversation behind the counter and when I politely interrupted to enquire about the price, they acted like I had disturbed a discussion of great importance and I got the impression they felt they were doing me a favour by telling me the price.. Honestly unless you need something VERY specific you can’t find anywhere else I’d avoid the inflated prices...

Interesting little find! We didn't intend visiting the antiques centre itself - only the cafe which turned out to be small and plainly furnished. Although we only went for a coffee, the rest of the menu looks good and is reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and efficient.
