Bootham Bar — Attraction in Great Britain

One of the most architecturally stunning church related building I’ve never been too. An incredible amount of stain glass windows and when the Sun is shining behind them they really are deserving of all the praise that has been bestowed upon them.

This is the best garden I ever visited. It is large, it has many exquisitely maintained and very special exhibits. Unlike other botanical gardens (the Montreal Botanical Garden comes to mind, which is very nice as well) this one had no gimmicks (no insect shows, no origami, no plastic exhibits) just many many beautiful plants from perennial flowers to giant sequoias. Even much of Bootham Bar was built in the 14th and 19th centuries but some of its oldest surviving stonework is dating back to the 11th century.
