My recent encounter with Boots Pharmacy at Angel left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. Despite being a first-time customer, the experience was marred by abysmal customer service, rude staff, and an appalling lack of professionalism.
From the moment I stepped into the pharmacy, I was met with an air of arrogance and indifference from the front staff. Their demeanor was unprofessional and unwelcoming, making me feel like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer seeking essential medication.
The ordeal reached its peak when I was informed, after an excruciating three-day wait, that the medication I urgently needed was not available. As someone battling a serious illness, the timely availability of these medications is paramount to my well-being. The staff's cavalier attitude and lack of urgency only exacerbated an already stressful situation.
It is disheartening to encounter such blatant disregard for customer care and professionalism, especially from a reputable chain like Boots. I was not happy with my shopping experience. I was swatching make up and one of the tester foundations squirted all over my friends hair and clothes. So I went to get a tissue from the beauty counter nearest to the makeup and the server was snappy and extremely hostile ādonāt take my tissues itās for my standā - didnāt listen to me explain anything, so I asked if thereās was any baby wipes or solution to wipe make up off, she didnāt offer alternative and had a really bad attitude. So I went to the Clinique counter and asked one of the ladies for a wet tissue, again the same thing happened. Hostile, strange attitude towards tissue. Honestly strange behaviour from all the staff. Doesnāt make any sense especially for a store that sells make up, u would think that tissue or wipes is normal for such a store that stock many make up brands. The lady only gave me 1 tissue and walked off. I went to the lady next to her and asked again for tissue to which she agreed to put the TINIEST bit of cleanser š to help wipe the foundation off my friends clothes yet she was also reluctant to give me any tissue. My prescription was not updated in their system, so I couldn't order contact lenses from any other Boots until calling them TWICE to rectify the matter.
On the 18th of October 2023, I had to call them again because my contact lenses information was removed from the system. I was informed that it's because I was due for a test (this is fine) but that all my details are still on the system. On the 25th of October 2023, I go into another Boots to get a contact lenses test and that Optician COULD NOT FIND MY DETAILS on the system. She tried name, surname, date of birth - nothing.
The people there always have a bad phone line and can't hear you, no matter where and which phone you use to call them.
Is it soooo difficult to update someone's details on the system? Now I had to reschedule another appointment which impacts work time! I called the same Boots again today and there is lady who assisted me and also gave me a Record number, which is something no one has ever thought to give me previously - really grateful to her. Hopefully, I won't have system issues again. I really would hate to have to deal with the incompetence at Boots Islington...
