5 STAR BAR. PERIOD.
Why you should make this a regular spot?`
HERE ARE 5 REASONS:
DELCIOUS COCKTAILS.
Every time I get a drink from the menu, my taste buds burst into fireworks from how well the drink satisfies my mouth. The ideal balance of alcohol and flavour is generous enough that one glass can get you jumping and starting off your time here well. Great selection of drinks and menus do change (unsure of frequency), but i assure you there is something for everyone, and their switch ups of the menu will guarantee you never get bored.
SEXY & FRIENDLY STAFF.
Who doesn't want a drink with a view? There are very easy going people behind the bar who I have become acquainted with. They will have a friendly chat with you if it isn't too busy while serving you respectfully, so you actually get treated like a human being, contrary to other bars and pubs I have been too. They communicate well and are very attentive. I manage to go in without saying a word as they have picked up on my favourite drink ( I get the same one every time). This tells me that they pay attention and get to know their customers, which I would say is top customer service.
AFFORDABLE
Reasonably priced cocktails for around a tenner, and downloading the app gives you access to their flagship deal they have (2 for 1). What more can you ask for? Affordability for tasty cocktails 1st class cocktails is what the inventor of a bargain would classify as value for money.
VIBES & ATOMSPHERE.
Music definitely makes or breaks a place, but somehow they know how to get it right. Pop tunes for the mainstreamers, hip hop and R&B for the party people, throwback 2000 songs for the nostalgia squad, and shockingly alternative/soft rock for the cool kids. You can catch staff turning up with you, on the tables, or behind the bar while simultaneously serving you heaven in a glass (cocktails). Talented staff are able to perform tricks like they are at a circus, such as juggling and crazy impressive drink pouring. Weekends are the days where it gets busy and wild, so for the social, party people, i would say come in Saturday or/and Sunday.
SOCIAL MEDIA CERTIFIED
If you haven't checked out the "Be at One Islington" social media, you should, especially Instagram and Tik Tok. They have gone viral many times as the masses recognise the talent and high quality of the bar at hand. Insta pages like "I'm just bait" reposted their content, which shows national recognition for what I would say is the best "Be at One" branch.
These reasons have converted me into a regular, and I hope you will be too.
Special shout-out to the hardworking team behind the bar David, Paradise, Reece, Blerta, and Cameron. They make the experience of going to the bar so much better and i have never seen workers in this field so dedicated and interactive. Even under extreme stress, they perform their duties, are patient with customers, and serve drinks promptly.

Read moreI am writing to express my profound disappointment following an incident that occurred on 29.03.2025 at your establishment, Be at One, located at 12 Upper Street, Islington.
My friend and I experienced the following: • We ordered two Negronis from a bartender who, notably, was wearing a nose piercing. Instead of our expected drinks, we received two gin and tonics. • Upon informing her that our original order was for two Negronis, she proceeded to make an additional two Negronis. • When we attempted to clarify our order, the bartender raised her voice, displaying a hostile attitude by shouting and using inappropriate language. • Our efforts to explain that our order consisted solely of two Negronis were in vain, leading us to request the presence of a manager. • The manager arrived and cancelled the two gin and tonic orders; however, the bartender continued to shout at us. • Rather than resolving the conflict, the manager sided with his protege and instructed us to leave the establishment without our drinks.
Furthermore, I was left with the impression that there is an inappropriate personal relationship between the bartender and the manager, which appears to have influenced their unprofessional behavior and created a clear conflict of interest.
This incident has marred our evening, and we did not anticipate such treatment.
I trust that you will take the necessary measures to ensure that such situations do not occur...
Read moreA nice, tidy, clean and cosy little battle cruiser nestled in amongst the many other eateries and watering holes peppered along the length of Upper Street. I popped in to see a couple of my pals brave the open mic night and found the bar staff to be both polite and attentive, as indeed they should be but if you're a Londoner like myself you'll know that to expect good service is a recipe for frustration and disappointment - so well done girls, I felt like a welcome and valued customer! Food looked great and smelled even better, although I didn't eat myself. Beer was chilled to perfection and brilliantly bubbly. I can only speak for the fellas here but the little boys room was sanitary and 'sans' stink, always a bonus in a London boozer. If you fancy a break from the chain run big'ns and appreciate a casual, comfortable pub that isn't trying to be anything other than 'a pub' then check it out. Look out for free live music in the form of open mic nights and other intimate and more low-key performances - posters & flyers will tell you what's on and when. I'd definitely visit again and...
