This is the 4th time I have been to steak & co Leicester Square, my husband and I normally come here for my birthday each year. This time we decided to take my father for the first time for his birthday.
As soon as we arrived at the restaurant the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. When we were seated we were offered water straight away. Our waitress came and introduced herself, I can not remember her name but I remember her saying she was Romanian. She was so so friendly, extremely good at her job and was very helpful with helping us pick our food.
We ordered the cheese burger spring rolls. OMG. I know it stupid, but it literally tastes like a cheese burger in a spring roll! They were bloody incredible. I had the buratta and my husband the prawns. Both very pleasant, good portions and full of flavour.
For mains, my husband wanted a bigger steak but also wanted the hot stone, the waitress was brilliant and said he can order the bigger steak and they bring it with the hot stone and the butter and sauce. This was brilliant because my husband is a big foodie, so this meant he can still enjoy the experience but have more food.
The starters came out within 5 minutes of ordering, which was just way too quick. But at least with the mains they took longer, maybe 25/30 minutes, meaning we could enjoy the company and enjoy the drinks.
Our mains came, my dad was so impressed with the creativity of cooking the steak yourself. We are a steak loving family and this just gives eating steak a more fun experience. All the steak were perfectly seasoned. The steak the fabulous. The chips were also very good and crunchy, kind of a small portion though. The mac and cheese was the show. It was so gooey and well cheesy! Really enjoyed it.
Because my husband and my father are such big eater, they decided to order a tomawawk and another Mac and cheese. My husband doesn’t like his meat anything but well done, but the tomawawk came out medium but my husband loved it! I tried some too and it was incredibly tender and was packed with flavour.
The only thing I would say, it did not look like 32oz. It was already sliced and off the bone (which was actually very helpful) but the bone and the portion of meat did not look like 32oz.
Overall, the experience was great, like every time we came. We spoke with the manager about how good our experience was and he was also very kind and friendly. Would highly recommend this place and will probably be back for my birthday in December like...
Read moreMy recent visit to Steak and Company was a truly remarkable experience, one that I will cherish for a long time. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was enveloped in a warm and inviting ambiance that instantly set a positive tone for my evening. The standout aspect of my visit was undoubtedly the general manager, Diego Vargas. His exceptional leadership skills were immediately apparent as he made it a priority to engage with every guest, ensuring that each person felt valued and special. It’s not every day that you encounter a manager who is so dedicated to creating a welcoming environment while efficiently running a well-organized establishment. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the service remained impressively prompt and attentive.I must also take a moment to highlight the remarkable team of waitstaff who played a crucial role in enhancing my experience, especially as I dined alone. Joao was an outstanding waiter, whose knowledgeable suggestions and attentive service made my meal even more enjoyable. I was particularly charmed by Ionna, whose radiant smile and warm personality created an inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.Furthermore, Farnhan and Caesar were exemplary in their roles as well, providing an added layer of comfort for me as a solo diner. Their genuine attentiveness and friendliness transformed what could have been a solitary experience into one filled with engaging conversations and a sense of safety. I truly appreciated their efforts to ensure I felt comfortable and cared for throughout my visit. The culinary offerings at Steak and Company were nothing short of spectacular, with each dish expertly prepared to tantalize the taste buds. However, what truly elevated my experience was the outstanding service provided by the staff. Their commitment to excellence made my visit not only enjoyable but also memorable, and I left feeling appreciated and eager to return. In conclusion, Steak and Company is more than just a restaurant; it’s a haven where guests are treated with utmost respect and kindness. With a dedicated manager like Diego Vargas at the helm and a team of remarkable staff members, this establishment is a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a place that combines delicious food with exceptional service, especially for those who might find themselves...
Read moreAvoid going there if you don't want to get ripped off. I was initially drawn in by the screens advertising a cocktail bought a cocktail offered and the huge steak advertised with fries £21. But as we were seated, we weren't going to leave. so we had a £25 steak plus £5 chips which, unlike at lunchtime, are not included with the steak, again something incomprehensible. as the £21 steak is only at lunchtime and is in fact much smaller than the misleading photo on the outside advertising screens in front of the restaurant, I can testify to this as I came to taste it the next day at lunchtime. So on the first day I asked for two different cocktails, even though I'd made it clear that I'd come for the happy house of one cocktail bought and one free until 11pm. But I had to pay for both cocktails because, according to them, one of the two cocktails was not one of the happy house cocktails. It's disgraceful and misleading they should include all cocktails in their happy house. It's really incomprehensible, the cocktail that was part of the happy house was £15 and the one that wasn't was also £15. They should have warned me but in my opinion it's a rip-off repeated every day in the restaurant. I also had the chilli prawns. And like every restaurant I've ever eaten in I've always had a small piece of bread with little prawns in sauce. So I asked how come there was no bread, then they brought me back 5 pieces of bread which they tried to charge me an extra £5 for a small slice. I went back to eat another piece of steak being able to enjoy two cocktails for the price of one, only to be ripped off again as mojitos are not included in the Happy house. Well done, you're going to make a bit of money trying to rip off your customers with stupid rules. But by doing this you're simply going to lose a lot more unhappy customers to scams like this. Even if the waiters aren't responsible, they can still warn customers. I hope the boss, you'll see my comment, will change his policy, which...
