L'OCCITANE EN PROVENCE — Local services in London

I seriously love L'Occitane. They have the best shea butter products in the world (the French sure knows their stuff in beauty!). Why buy items here?

1. They smell amazing.

2. The products do what they say. Cherry Blossom scented hand cream containing shea butter? I love you. My hands also love you. Downstairs, they have the whole range of shea butter for you to try on your hands!

3. The packaging are amazing. I bought something over Xmas, not a lot, but it came in a huge box with ribbons on it which would have made a really impressive gift. Too bad I couldn't bear to part with it so all the hand creams are still in my house.

4. Some of the staff can speak French (I am not sure if all of them can). Even French people come to the UK to buy this stuff, apparently it's cheaper here than in France!

5. The ladies and gents working in this branch are very nice and helpful also. Yes you do get the odd person telling you to go to another till, only to find that the other till has an even longer waiting time....

6. There is a treatment room downstairs, sometimes they provide free treatments, sometimes free hand creams from their mailing list, sometimes free samples if you just ask.....can you resist?

Oh, I forgot to mention about the price, it's not cheap folks! Bring a big fat...

I am writing to share my recent experience at your store when I visited a couple of days ago with my 2 daughters. While we generally enjoy coming to your store, this visit left me with mixed feelings.

Unfortunately, one of your staff members, an older Caribbean lady, was not friendly, spoke in an unprofessional manner, and did not create a welcoming atmosphere. This was disappointing and made our shopping experience less enjoyable than expected.

On the other hand, I want to point out that some of the other employees—particularly the younger staff members—were very friendly, welcoming, sweet, and professional. It is a shame I did not get their names, as I would have liked to recognize them directly, but I do want to express my gratitude for the way they treated us.

I hope you will take this feedback into consideration and look into the behaviour of your staff so that all customers can feel valued and comfortable when shopping...
