We stayed at The Resident Covent Garden for two nights on 5th and 6th August. Can honestly say the hotel exceeded our expectations in every respect. The location is fantastic, right in the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden with all the theatres of the West End an easy walk. We saw the Lion King at the Lyceum (also recommended) which was just two minutes round the corner. The room was on the small side but very plush and comfortable. Also immaculately clean, well serviced by the incredibly friendly staff, and had all latest integrated sockets, accent lighting, quiet A/C, and kitchenette which was especially handy. Particularly impressed by the double window that excluded all the noise from the streets below leaving the room completely silent. The curtains completely blacked out the room at night too, so good sleep pretty much guaranteed unless you snore enough to wake your partner like I do (not the hotel’s fault!). The staff were all, without exception, extremely friendly and welcoming. We were always met with friendly smiles/greetings coming in and out of the hotel without this ever feeling forced or too much. Everyone was genuinely warm and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had what we needed. The room cleaner was especially sweet coming by late on the afternoon of our first full day to see if we needed anything for the room. The two chaps on reception when we arrived (sorry I can’t remember your names but I think the duty manager might have been Himalay) are also worth a mention, going above and beyond when we arrived by allowing us to check in early no questions, and even arranging a complimentary room upgrade just because I’d emailed the day before about the cost/availability of a bigger room. We had a brilliant stay in this gem of a hotel. As long as you know what you are booking - small but stylish rooms, no breakfast, in a hotel that is immaculate with friendly staff and exceptional service - you won’t be...
Read moreI had a wonderful stay at the Resident Covent Garden, and will absolutely be staying here again. It was so refreshing to stay somewhere that consistently met and exceeded my expectations. These are the things I liked:
Patricia the receptionist was great. She explained things clearly, helped me get an upgrade, bought mail and deliveries to my room, and answered every one of my questions, all while having a friendly, kind, patient attitude. As someone who has worked in hospitality myself, she exemplifies how an excellent hospitality professional should behave.
Room had a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, sink, and Brita water filter on the tap. I'd not thought of this before, but loved that I could drink purified water at will, and fill a bottle for the day when heading out. Also very useful when I didn't want to go out for dinner or order food, I could prepare something basic myself. Housekeeping also cleaned the kitchenette immaculately and removed dishes every day.
Shower was great, large shower head, heated quickly, and strong water pressure.
Room was more spacious than others I've stayed at in London, and spotlessly clean. The fixtures and furniture were of good quality and well installed. Tasteful without trying too hard.
The location is amazing. Minutes walk to Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Somerset House, the Thames, Seven Dials etc, and close to multiple Tube stops.
It's quiet. Even though the hotel is on the Strand, the triple-glazed windows meant the room was pin-drop quiet and I slept very well. I also couldn't hear my neighbors even though the hotel was pretty full, suggesting that it has good...
Read moreI had the most incredible stay at The Resident Covent Garden from March 11 to March 17, and I can confidently say this hotel exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service that made me feel truly valued as a guest.
The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Covent Garden, making it easy to explore London's best attractions, restaurants, and theaters. Despite being in a vibrant area, the hotel itself is a peaceful oasis, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.
The room was spotless, stylish, and well-equipped with everything I needed, including a handy kitchenette that added a touch of convenience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail in the design and amenities made my stay feel luxurious.
A standout highlight of my stay was the complimentary 6 PM wine and champagne, which I enjoyed every evening. It was such a lovely touch and made unwinding after a day of exploring even more enjoyable.
What truly sets The Resident Covent Garden apart is the staff. Every team member went pabove and beyond to make my stay special, but I want to give a special thanks to Mahima for her exceptional kindness and attentiveness. Her warm and professional approach made my experience even more memorable, and I truly appreciated her dedication to ensuring guests have the best possible stay.
I cannot recommend this place enough! If you're looking for a hotel that combines comfort, elegance, and outstanding hospitality, The Resident Covent Garden is the perfect choice. I'll definitely be returning on my next...
