Absolutely Fabulous! A Rocky Horror Picture Show Dream Come True!
I’ve been a die-hard fan of Rocky Horror for what feels like forever, and let me tell you, this production featuring Jason Donovan was EVERYTHING I hoped for and more! From the moment the lights dimmed to the last “Time Warp” dance step, it was a rollercoaster of hilarity, sass, and pure theatrical genius.
Jason Donovan absolutely slayed as Frank-N-Furter – I mean, who knew he could strut in heels like that?! The entire cast had me grinning ear to ear with their pitch-perfect vocals, impeccable comedic timing, and the kind of charisma that leaves you walking out of the theatre humming "Sweet Transvestite" with a whole new swagger. Trust me, it was hard not to belt it out on the way home!
And the audience? Oh, the audience! We practically became part of the show, shouting out all the cheeky one-liners that have made Rocky Horror an interactive masterpiece. It was like a beautiful chaos – witty comebacks flying left and right, and even the cast didn’t miss a beat (seriously, they’re pros at rolling with the punches!).
I’m already planning to go again... and this time I’m getting a closer seat, because I need to see those fishnets and corsets up close in all their glory! If you're a fan, you will LOVE it. If you're not a fan yet, what on earth are you waiting for?!
Rocky Horror with Jason Donovan? Simply put: it’s so good, it’s...

I live in Cape Town and my wife and I travelled the last few weeks in the US and has a lay-over day in London and because we are both ABBA fans got tickets for the show on Saturday, 18 May. It is a beautiful venue and the show was fantastic. Unfortunately, there was a group of about 10 very drunk people sitting directly behind us. They were already drunk when they took their seats just before the show started and kept on drinking throughout the show. They were talking loudly throughout the show, although I and people sitting next to meet repeatedly ask them to be quite so that we can enjoy the show. About 20 minutes before the end of the show, it got so rowdy that the one person spilled half his beer onto the back of the girl sitting next to me. She had to go to the restroom to dry herself. For the next 10 minutes they were arguing amongst themselves over whose fault it was that the beer was spilled. What should have been a wonderful experience for us turned out to be really unpleasant. The poor girl who sat next to me missed the last part of the show. My wife, who suffers from parkinson's disease, was anxious the whole time because of bad behaviour behind.
You will really have to put measures in place to monitor and control behaviour like this. They had a wonderful time but made it unpleasant for all the people sitting around...
Read moreI was fortunate enough to catch the 2:30 pm show—the second last performance—and what an experience it was! The cast was beyond energized, striking a perfect balance between humor, coordination, musical talent, and sheer enthusiasm.
The lunchtime audience was filled with little ones, completely captivated by the wild, rhythmic cacophony of sound cleverly crafted from “trash” (hence the name). Their excitement seemed to fuel the cast even more, making the performance even more electric. The interaction between the performers and the audience was seamless—so much so that, had I not known better, I might have thought the crowd had attended a few rehearsals beforehand! Instead, they were simply swept up by the infectious energy of the four incredible performers.
Choosing a standout moment is difficult, but if I had to pick, the solo piece using plastic bottles and a trolley was an absolute stroke of genius—brilliantly inventive and masterfully executed.
Hard hats off to the entire cast and the creative team behind this magical show! Your ingenuity, creativity, and boundless energy had us clapping, singing, stomping, and laughing out loud. Thank you for such a...
