Rude staff!! I was simply stood outside this shop looking at the nail salon pricing list next door, and a member of staff found it acceptable to come and shout at me and my friend. As I was walking past this shop, I made a retching sound (I have emetophobia and thought I saw vomit on the ground), and the employee came outside yelling about how the whole street heard my retching and how the fish inside is better quality than “that ice cream” I had in my hand. What an odd thing to do! He got the wrong end of the stick and thought I was retching at the smell of shop as fishmongers obviously smell fishy. But for an employee to come out and yell at 2 young women over a misinterpretation, then make a comment on what we’re eating is...

I've always been to this fishmonger's until last week when I bought cod fillets, a monkfish, a sea bass, mussels and salmon. Trustfully, I brought the fish home thinking everything was okay. What could have gone wrong? I trusted them, of course. Once I got home and started make lunch, I noticed that the girl (not very clever nor smart) had forgotten to give me the monkfish and the mussels I had paid for! Whereupon I went back to the store and they told me that they were sorry (that's it) about the incident and gave me the monkfish which had not been kept in the refrigerator. Very disappointed and I'll never shop...

My go to place when I want quality fish and produce. Their hot smoked salmon and smoked haddock are what fish pie dreams are made of. They do all the smoking themselves as well. Great selection of other fish and seafood. Their scallops are the size of dinner plates.

They often have other fresh produce especially fresh mushrooms available. Plus a number of dry goods and salami meats.

Staff are helpful and friendly. Often can give you pointers on some added touches to your recipes.
