Being the fan of Rituals that I am, I walked into the Angel branch today to redeem a free birthday gift. I explained to a member of staff that I had a free gift sent to me via email and she said she was new so handed me over to another member of staff by the name of Martina. I explained that it was my birthday and I was hoping to redeem my free gift. She very abruptly and with a loud tone explained she would not give me the gift as it was to be redeemed with a purchase.
I tried to explain that I had read the T&C’s and could not see where it stated it had to be with a purchase but the Martina (the member of staff who was now serving me) kept speaking over me and would not let me speak. I kindly asked her to allow me a chance to speak. I got my phone out to show her the email I received, which she very loudly read out in front of the whole store and explained she won’t be giving me the gift unless I purchase something in store.
I have spent easily thousands in the Rituals over the years and have always loved their products and services. Never once have I had an issue but I was so appalled by the treatment I received today that I had to walk out after being embarrassed in the store.
I proceeded to ask Martina for her name before I left and she very confrontationally squared up to me and with a stern voice and elevated tone said her name. I think it is just DISGUSTING that this was the treatment I received as such a loyal customer and hope that the relevant training and coaching is given to this individual so she does not lash out at other customers in...
Read moreVisited this store on Sunday 19/05 around 14:00, no manager/supervisor was present. I was made to wait 20 minutes untill she returned to the store. I was returning a car perfume - Oudh Patchouli, I had for a week and let out minimal smell so was requesting an exchange of the same product as I deemed this to be faulty as I am a returning customer.
Foreign Manager’s attitude was absolutely shocking - she refused the exchange as I opened the product (which I intended on using however was faulty). Female manager called customer service ( who do not operate on the weekends!) she lied and said they refused the exchange to. Who did she pretend to talk to in front of me for 10 minutes? Manager had 0 customer service and also spoke to employees like they were beneath her. Avoid this branch if you’re someone that appreciates customer service!

Read moreI Didn't get asked if I needed any assistance. Then waited at the till to be served for 5 minutes. It was almost as if because I looked young they weren't going to assist me. women with crazy looking hair then finally came to serve me when she knew I was trying to pay for my item.
Also when I was looking at a product she stood right in front of me to help other costumers when I was trying to reach for a product!
