Very disappointed with my recent experience at this MUJI store. I purchased several large storage boxes, which are clearly difficult to carry without assistance. In the past, especially at the Islington shop, staff would help by tying them together with simple cloth straps — a small but thoughtful service. However, this time when I asked, I was told: “We no longer do that, that was before.” No alternative was offered — not even a bag or straps for purchase.
It makes no sense to sell such large items without offering any way to carry them. The lack of basic customer support is frustrating and completely at odds with MUJI’s reputation for practical, user-friendly design. The checkout process upstairs also needs improvement — it’s clear the service standards have dropped significantly.
Hope MUJI reconsiders this policy. As it stands, the experience was unhelpful and...
Read moreDon’t bother buying socks here! I bought socks many times in the past, I liked them because of their 90 degree angle, and they were really nicely cushioned as well. They didn’t last for a super long time, but it was border acceptable. Now last time I bought socks here it was absolutely terrible, I had to throw them away after the second wash! They stretched so much that it was impossible for them to hold up, I ended up needing to pull them up every few minutes, and when I gave up they ended up in my toes. A total waste of money! All the other items are amazing though, I really like their pens...
Read moreI would only go into this store to pick up small items.
Trying to purchase a mattress I was told to come back on 2 separate occasions because staff couldn't figure out how to work the system to place an order. Why they couldn't complete a transaction over the phone, is just as perplexing as asking someone to come into a store only to realise that they still don't know how to place an order. The whole experience was both embarrassing and awkward.
Better luck finding less challenged staff in the future MUJI .
