This was our first time trying this restaurant and we had heard great things about it but Leyla gave the worst customer service I have ver experienced. She took the order wrong, she never brought all the things we ordered even though she charged for them (we had to ask another server). She would be yawning when taking orders, no wonder she got it wrong. When she brought the food she just dropped the plate not even making eye contact, didn’t ask if we needed anything else, or checked on us. She was also eating in front of everyone and licking her fingers without washing her hands. She would put her dirty thumb inside the plates. She would sit around and keep eating I stead of checking on her tables. I use to be a server before so seeing how unprofessional she was and the terrible customer service she provided truly shocked me. Food is good in general and the place is nice but Layla gave us a truly horrible experience

Wonderful experience for us at Wagamama, Angel. We visited the restaurant on a Sunday for lunch and everything was fantastic! Procedures were in place due to Covid-19 and staff adhered to those perfectly. At arrival, we were kindly asked to sanitize hands and offered a nice table. Staff was super smiling, attentive and welcoming - we loved that! We ordered some fabulous mushroom baos to start off the meal, accompanied by beer and a lovely alcohol free mohito! We then ordered mains: a spicy chicken dish with roasted peppers and rice and a vegetarian dish which was just a dream! We completed our meal with a slice of white chocolate and ginger cheesecake. Overall, fabulous experience for us. We are definitely going to be back - make sure to visit this place if you are in the mood for Asian food and strolling around the Angel area!

The place looks good, the food is very spicy, less meat, prawn quantity. More rice & noodles quantity. Vegan & vegetarian options are over £11 while meat options over £13.5 However, sweet is over the price at range of £7 Staff are friendly , kind and quick service. The toilet for disability was not that clean and running out of toilet tissue. You will spend £25 if you would like to order one main + sweet + drink As I mentioned it’s a lot of noodles and rice rather vegetables, meat or prawns etc. It’s expensive place if you invited 2 friends on your treat etc. Do not forget to ask to not have spicy if you do not eat spicy food because it’s quite heavy spicy. I would give more stars but the food is expensive regarding the ingredients which is very cheap. The food presentation is good.

Not the best. The effort to serve you is just not there. We went on a Sunday when it was busy not full- I’d say about a third of the tables were being used. There was enough staff but they did not actively look to do anything or keep busy rather waiting to be approached or called. Three main things that frustrated me: Firstly, took about 5 minutes to be seated and then another 15 for someone to come and take a drink order. They waited another 15 minutes for drinks to come over - after I spotted them sat at the bar and only after suggesting I get them did the server bring them over.

Secondly, I asked for butternut squash to be removed from my meal. Which the sever said could be done. Turns out they didn’t bother. I saw the printed order and the server had passed on the order correctly so kitchen staff decided not to follow through. Raised this concern with manager as if it was a serious allergy this could’ve had massive implications.

Thirdly, my daughters meal came incomplete. When asked about the missing items they said “yeah sorry we ran out”. Obviously I explained to her that that should’ve been explained prior to us ordering it and asked if a substitute could be brought out. She explained she could arrange that. When the bill came turns out they hadn’t substituted the missing item but rather brought an adult side dish and charged us as such.

Staff do not have sense to use initiative. Do not think to check on anything whether that be an orders progress or how we are enjoying the food).

Yes they were smiley and friendly. But it really did feel like babysitting trying to encourage a teenager to do something. But once up and away from the wall on which they leaned they seemed happy to do what you asked.

I could easily have walked out without paying as without prompting them- they wouldn’t have come to take payment!

*the pickpocket making an appearance at each table in turn was bonus entertainment. Obviously he has cottoned on to the lack of staff...

Came in with a friend today, just the two of us. Weirdly we sat behind a table of 4.

What we noticed was when me and friend ordered at the same time and she got her food first and mine came 10 minutes later. Odd. Why can’t you send the food out at the same time for the same table, considering you guys gave us a table number etc.

The table of 4 behind us? I mentioned them because 3 of them got their food (also at different times like me and my friend) and the fourth? Got her food after everyone else on that table finished.

The F&B staff, for both me and friend’s table and table behind us. DIDN’T EVEN APOLOGISE, for sending the food out at odd times. The table of 4, the one who got hers about 10-20 min after everyone else got there’s, got an apology like 10 minutes AFTER she got her food. Shouldn’t you be apologising when you brought her food? Why wait 10 minutes? My friend and I both work as a chef and even we never sent our customers their food out like that. We send the food for everyone on that table out AT THE SAME TIME. Because it’s not great that one person gets their food first and the other gets theirs 10 minutes later.

That table of 4? The girl who got hers last? We heard the F&B staff apologise 10 minutes AFTER she got her food and the offer of making her wait was sauces. Sauces...

I cannot recall the amount of times I have been disappointed by the food at this restaurant, but normally the service is ok, and often the food errors have been resolved. Today however was a total disappointment and I have been violently sick since leaving the restaurant. The juice was good, the duck gyoza ok. The noodles were disgusting and stank of fish, the prawns barely cooked. The green tea was served in a childs plastic cup which was not clean. I waited ages to be served, the person serving me was rude, but did get the order right though. The manager practically threw my noodle dish on the table, I was facing the opposite direction poking faces at a child making them smile. I was startled as the plate was literally thrown on the table. I waited ages to pay, having stacked my plates, still quite full. No one asked me how my meal was. The toilets were a complete disgrace, and there was milk and food all over the floor where I was sitting. I tried to tell the manager I was not happy, not that she asked, but she told me to leave comments using the QR code. One of the servers explained to me after that I could not do that as I had already paid! (Which the manager knew.) Never going back there and am worried I will miss my surgery on Monday because of...
