Me and my partner went today for our anniversary. We were quite looking forward to a 5* spa experience and what we got was a huge let down where you feel like the whole thing just felt incredibly like going to your local high street spa in a basement. The things that don’t work are; 1- The whole Decor is outdated and looks like it needs to ripped out and done again especially if you are associating it with the Rosewood brand. 2 - I had a 90min Swedish massage which cost £190. When I got into the room, the masseuse told me that if I wanted oils used for the massage there is an extra £10 supplement. I thought a bit cheeky but went with it. Than I said to her that I prefer strong pressure and she mentioned that this would be an upgrade. The massage was basically an exercise of where she spread the £10 oil all over me for 90min. There was no string pressure. I am not sure they understand what a Swedish massage is…in the end she said that you may be sore because I really worked on your knots so you may be sore. I think I am sore because the nots are still there. My partner’s massage experience was similar.

The whole experience cost us £475. At reception they asked how our experience was and I said it was “okay”. The response was I am glad you had a great experience.

Honestly, just a very low-quality experience. I booked for my partner for Valentine’s Day. She chose a treatment package, which we showed to the spa receptionist. Then, after she had gone in, the spa receptionist charged me for a different treatment. When clarifying with her, she came back to me and said that if I wanted what was in the original package, I would now have to pay more. I agreed, as my partner was expecting this treatment, only for the receptionist to charge me more than the amount she had just communicated, unapologetically saying she had accidentally told me the wrong price.

The receptionist then offered to give my partner a complimentary glass of champagne (I assumed for all the inconvenience caused), only for me to find out from my partner later that she never received anything.

Too expensive (£190) for what the treatment actually included. I had bought the Detoxifying body treatment. For a start, the treatment didn’t last 90’ as announced in the description: I spent ten minutes looking for the spa area (which is not indicated within the building), delay which ran into my treatment as nicely remarked by the receptionist once I got through to the spa and after I had been running around. Unpleasant comments I will not mention followed. On another hand, I was asked which areas needed particular attention and these were not particularly addressed. The massage was mainly painful and I left the room frustrated. I then avoided the steamroom as it smelled of dump. I have had many massages/treatments that were worth way less but which have had an actual relaxing effect on me. Not worth spending all that money and...
