Initial experience was quite positive. However after a few weeks of my lower lobe being pierced I developed an infection. I tried to book an appointment online to get some advice on what to do next and as there was no suitable option, i.e. consultation, etc. so I chose an option DOWNSIZE JEWELERY and paid £6 online to secure the appointment. Upon arrival I explained what the issue was and asked what to do next. The person whom I spoke to changed her demeaner from very welcoming and friendly to a little bit abrupt. I had to initiate the request and ask if she could have a look at my ear as she was quite reluctant in engaging in further conversation about it. She had a quick glance at my ear and told me to go to my GP if I felt it was an infection because she was not a doctor and and that was basically all the advice I received. I then asked about my £6 back as there was no downsizing of the jewelery happening either. I was told that I could redeem it but then another customer arrived and the person I spoke to literally left me almost immediately and I was just standing there on my own, without being told what would be the case with my refund. I ended up leaving the studio.
Then my infection got worse...SO FAR I have ended up having to take 3 courses of antibiotics and having to go to A&E as I was so poorly as the infection was getting worse and worse. I tried calling the studio to get the advice on either having to remove my jewelry or keep it in my ear lobe but to no avail. The line seemed always busy.
I then decided to email the studio but I received a reply which was meant to look like an automated response that the studio was shut and somebody was going to contact me.
However, nobody ever did!
I ended up going to another professional piercing studio in Manchester to get advice as to what was happening with my ear. They were really helpful and did not send me away even though I came with an existing issue. I was then told that one of the piercings looked like it was done at an angle and I would have to let it heal and maybe repierce my ear in the future if i still wanted to have an extra piercing.
All in all...I am disappointed with all the experience as I genuinely wanted to get some advice on how to go about with my ear and how to look after it during the infection as I had so many conflicting advice from the health care professionals. To my knowledge, the piercer should be the first point of call once you encounter any issues with the piercing.
The fact that nobody contacted me as promised to discuss the issue is a sign of a very poor customer service and resulted in me having to turn to other professionals in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy partner and I went to this place to get our eyebrows pierced and they also got a septum piercing. Just a week after their septum, the accessory fell out and since it was a very fresh piercing they couldnāt get it re-pierced. A week after this incident, my eyebrow piercing fell out and again, since it was a fresh piercing, it closed and I couldnāt do anything about it. I was also not in Manchester at that time and the nearest piercing studio very kindly removed my half broken jewellery without any charge since they told me they could see the piercing closing up so there wasnāt any chance I could get it re-pierced before the scar heals. And now, almost three weeks since my partnerās eyebrow piercing, the jewellery fell out and couldnāt be put back in again.
After three failed piercings in less than three weeks, I do believe there could be some fault with the jewellery they are using. Both my partner and I had a great experience with the piercing process but it was really disappointing to see how quickly the jewellery just fell off without either of us facing any problems with the piercings in these three weeks.
Important note- neither of us had any issues or irritation with our piercings. We were cleaning them with saline spray...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had my ears pierced today and the staff were sooooo friendly and experienced!!
I have EDS affecting the way my skin feels and heals and hypertrophic scarring from having large gauge lobes in the past so I couldn't get my lobes done in the same place again; Tae was really well informed and was able to help me choose jewellery and place the piercings in a way that covered my raised scarring and still looked like "normal" first lobe piercings! She was also able to let me know how EDS could affect piercings and we were able to have a good chat about it which reassured me:)
Both staff members in today were really so friendly and put me at ease to the point I barely noticed the needle for how much I was chattering lol š
I also had my septum pierced here January last year and it healed perfectly, despite having a deviated septum and short "sweet spot" for piercing !!
I've been to other popular piercing shops in Manchester since moving here but I prefer to come back to pure piercing because I've had the best...
