We've lived in Milton Keynes for over 13 years and have been visiting Taste of Paradise since then. Never ever has a food van delighted, pleased and gastronomically satisfied it's customers the way Shilpa and Inder's team have!! The chicken and lamb dishes are a favourite even with our kids, while the paneer dishes, stuffed parathas and snacks (like samosa chaat) along with the masala chai are an all time hit! But not to be missed are the chhole bhature - in all our numerous visits over the years, I've never failed to notice at least two or three families having chhole bhature at any given point of time! The fryer must get tired out - dishing out large, fluffy, tasty bhature non-stop!! And the chhole are a nice brownish hue - shows the proper marination and infusion of masala and taste through and through. So do try them!! They are a signature dish - as people now refer to them as "Inder Shilpa's chhole bhature"! But is it only the food that ranks them as the top, must visit food destination? The rich variety of menu offerings, the tasteful dishes, the presentation - all of this can be found and replicated at any of the numerous food vans dotted around The Centre: MK (Milton Keynes city centre as it is officially known) and even across the country. However what can't be found anywhere else is the welcoming nature of Shilpa & Inder and their staff. The light hearted banter, the fun and laughter sets the whole mood and vibrant energy around the place that makes one feel welcomed and the whole atmosphere is that of fun & enjoyment. And this clearly shows that here is a couple who enjoys serving great food. And when someone loves their work so much, it shows in their customer service and sets them apart. That is what this place is - miles apart and ahead of others!! Keep going Shilpa & Inder - you're an asset to be celebrated...
Read moreI came across Taste of Paradise completely by chance while walking through the area – wasn’t looking for food, but the smell coming from this place was too good to ignore. It looks like a food van at first glance, but it’s actually a permanent street food booth, built in solid and clearly well-established. One of those quiet local spots you’d never know about unless you were nearby – and I’m so glad I gave it a go.
I tried the chicken tikka wrap, and it was spot on – freshly cooked, packed with flavour, and wrapped in soft naan that had just the right char. On a return visit I went for the chole bhature, and again – no complaints. Fluffy bhature, rich chickpea curry, proper home-style taste. Their paneer butter masala is also worth mentioning – creamy, well-spiced, and served piping hot with your choice of bread or rice.
The menu’s bigger than you’d expect from a small booth – with everything from wraps and street snacks to full curries and biryanis – but what stands out is the quality. Everything feels fresh, not reheated or rushed. And for the portion sizes, the prices are more than fair.
Staff are polite, helpful, and fast – even when it gets a bit busy, the service stays on point.
This is the kind of place you find by accident and end up coming back to regularly. No frills, just genuinely tasty food served with care. A proper local gem in...
Read moreWorking from home and wanted a tasty, easy lunch. Taste of Paradise delivered for us and what a treat! The food was all piping hot, well packaged and labelled. Customer service was great - website tracked status of my order and provided a countdown to when it would arrive (bang on time).
The food itself was delicious. The samosa chat was something I've not had before but would order again (it's as if a samosa has exploded into a pot of tasty sauce!); the chicken tikka wrap was well filled and perfectly seasoned/spiced; the chole kulcha was really filling and, again, well spiced, super tasty and came with a choice of rice or chapati - we chose the latter and it was soft, warm and perfect.
I've also ordered some dal makhani and a chicken biryani - portions sizes are generous and containers are well filled. They are for our dinner but I don't doubt they will be delicious too!
All this, plus prompt home delivery and service with a smile. I'll definitely be ordering again, and I look forward to visiting them in the market once lockdown is over.
(My only plea is to include an option for slightly less spice occasionally, for days when I'm not feeling as brave on the...
