Food is not very nice, place is dirty. Drinks are alright but only because they're cheap. Went in with 3 friends tonight, was in there for 2 hours (spent over £100 on alcoholic drinks altogether). I had got some Chambord as a gift so wanted to try a bit, please note that I was completely unaware that you were not allowed to bring your own alcohol in with you, and a member of staff said we had to give it to him or leave. I didn't want to ruin the night so I gave it to him but asked if I could have it back when leaving, he said yes. He went away and soon came back to tell us that we had to leave. It was a little frustrating and I was very confused as to why we were asked to leave but we complied anyway as we didn't want to cause a fuss. We still had £30+ worth of alcohol left on the table so I asked if we could finish them of first and then leave. We were not allowed to finish them so we just very disappointedly got up to leave. Before leaving I went to the front desk to ask for my Chambord back and he said that i couldn't have it back and that he had to throw it away. Out of confusion I asked why and he said that that's the policy and that it's like that in every pub. Please bare in mind this entire conversation he was being very rude to me and was treating me as if I had purposely done something I wasn't supposed to do which most certainly was not the case. I am quite upset over all this, It felt like a complete waste of money as we didn't get to finish our drinks, I didn't get my Chambord gift back even though they said I could have it back and I felt like they were being incredibly rude to me because I am young (18 years old) and disabled. I don't think I'll be...

I went to this establishment Saturday morning, I ordered a full in English and a refillable coffee. I was handed a take away cup and there were no spoons given or displayed for use. The breakfast came out quickly and was was good value for money. While eating my food an elderly lady was clearly struggling with her coffees, and for a quite busy public house neither staff member or punter helped her. I went to assist and noticed spillage. Not a single person mentioned to a staff member which could cause an accident. I then explained to staff what was happening before I could finish my food. Staff were very quick to clean the area. Last but not least I was devastated that the legend of scolick was no where to be found to save the day. Thanks for taking the time to read this review. See you...

Yet another Wetherspoons visited- number 106 of still open pubs.

Visited Stroud today, so decided to stop off for Breakfast.

Pleasantly surprised to see the excellent value 'Top Plates, Low Rates' deals operating here.

Medium Vegetarian Breakfast was a very reasonable £3.14. Breakfast was washed down with a pint of Bowman Black Drop for £2.34.

For the prices paid, you really cannot do any better elsewhere.

Breakfast was a little slow at arriving, however it was well presented and cooked. In fact better than some Wetherspoons pubs I've paid nearly one and a half time more, for the same breakfast.

Beer was on good condition and glass was wiped by bar staff before handing over to remove excess liquid on outside of glass.

Good service!

Definitely worth a visit if in...

Decent enough and roomy typical Wetherspoons. Called by en-route to football match at Forest Green Rovers and was busy serving a well behaved group of visiting supporters from Newport County. Bar staff worked hard and always seem to be of a cheery disposition. Toilets are downstairs and therefore not disabled friendly but access is easy enough from a bustling busy street. Great range of beers and other assorted alcoholic drinks. Food looked great but did not partake. Nice pub.

Not a bad Wetherspoons my drink was cold and the staff were friendly. The interior is done out in wood with fake old-fashioned train overhead luggage racks, which are a nice touch. There's a beautiful stained glass window on your way to the toilet which amazinglyis downstairs, but everything looks like it could do with a spruce up and clean.Still worth a visit if like me you love everything Wetherspoons.
