Keep your toddlers (or drunk buddies) chained to the seats. The high speed trains come flying through with almost no warning, and they practically suck you in. There's no guard rail or anything, and the seats are right up next to the track. All it takes is a small tumble and your kid is dead. I hate to rag on Amtrak, because I appreciate the service, but it's not safe. There is an indoor area, but it's only on the southbound side. Your choice for northbound side is for kids to hang out in the parking lot or stay feet from an unguarded high...

It's an unmanned station so read the sign and use the app. You get on the train which is nice but then you try to find a seat you pay for and good luck everyone is saving seats so zero places to sit in 4 cars. It's nice that they don't let even a person with a cane have a seat. The people who work here all sit in the cafe relaxing and did zero... Read moreThis is small, no frills train station. Check the hours if you need to go inside because it is not open the entire time the train operates. If it is closed, there are no restrooms outside for use. If you park in the designated lot and are traveling north, it will take about 5-7 minutes to get to the other side of the tracks.
