Wow! I've lived in HdG for almost 6 years and had no idea this store was in my backyard. I am so happy to have an international food store so close, no need to drive to Philly or Elliott City to buy the food you can't find in the local food store. You can buy frozen whole fish, goat, ice cream, dumplings and cassava roots. Refrigerated tofu, a variety of Mexican cheeses and cremas, premade desserts, etc. They also carry a variety of rice - up to 30lb bags! Vermicelli rice noodles, boxed fufu, canned meats and fish, so many snacks! The labels are from all over the world: Korea, Mexico, Ghana, Thailand, Vietnam, Puerto Rico and many more! I was overwhelmed with all the choices and am excited to make this a regular spot to shop. Now to start...

This place has gone completely downhill since new ownership has taken over. For months I’ve asked the new owner to restock the specialty frozen item I used to buy there regularly and he always says the same thing “next Friday” and it’s never restocked. He’s wasted so much of my time at this point. And the place is just messy now, probably because every time I see the owner he’s on his phone. I can only conclude that the new owner is either lying, lazy, dumb or just doesn’t care - it’s likely a mixture of all of those. I guess the owner doesn’t like money. I’m never going back and now I’ll have to drive to Hmart in Baltimore County to get similar items instead having a reliable place to go right...

Great place to find international foods. They have Japanese, South Asian, African, Latin American, and Indian food products you can't find in large grocery stores. They also have a small selection of fresh produce and frozen meat and fish. I go here to get sushi rice, rice flour, adzuki beans, and miscellaneous spices. The store is a little disorganized and not everything has price stickers though but the owner is very friendly and can help you find what you are looking for. They also sell calling cards. Definitely reccomend if you are looking to get adventurous with cooking foreign foods or if you need to find food from your home country. Also there is a 10 dollar minimum for...
