A friend just told me about their bad haircut at Great clips in Abington PA on Old York road. It reminded me of the bad haircut I got two months ago there from some guy who thinks his eyebrows are on fleek and doesn't know how to give a plain old haircut without having to add his idea of artistic design. I told him I can't see very well when he asked me how the back of my haircut looked as he held up a mirror. I have serious eye issues so I asked him if it was straight and he said yes. Turns out he made some type of stupid design of what look like shark's teeth a little jagged up and down design that I did not ask for. I had to go to another haircut place to get it fixed. I had to pay for that haircut and the one to fix it. Speaking of which when I called the day before the bad haircut I had at Great clips in Abington and asked how much is a buzz cut for a senior male I was told 19 bucks.... But the guy with the eyebrows after the bad haircut was done with tried to tell me it was 27. I said I'm a senior. He said that's the price for seniors. I said I was told 19 bucks yesterday on the phone and he goes.... oh oh that's right it is 19.
Look dude... One) I could care less what you do with your own hair or eyebrows and what you think is stylish. Go ahead... be you. But I asked for a simple buzz cut and you couldn't handle one of the easiest haircuts there is. I didn't need or want the jagged shark tooth design that you put on the back of my head where I couldn't see it.
Two) You knew the price was 19 for a senior.... You were just trying to scam a few extra bucks into your pocket. As it was I gave you $23, you got a $4 tip because I didn't know how bad the haircut was in the back until I got home and then an honest person (unlike you) told me it looked terrible. $4 tip on 19 bucks is slightly more than 20%.... yet you wanted me to pay $27 plus a potential tip. Don't try to bilk seniors with impaired vision and on a fixed income out of extra money. That's just flat-out low.
I will never get my haircut here at this location again and I will advise anybody who asks me what I think about the place that they should consider other alternatives.
Oh and to whomever may reply to this.... don't bother with your standard copy and pasted reply of:
" We're sorry to hear this was your experience. If you'd like, please email mailto:customerservice@greatclips.com with the details and location. We will be happy to help you. Thank you. "
Why? Because I won't be coming back. I told you what location.... and there are enough other bad complaints in this list of reviews that you should have done something...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDon't go here. You will waste your money and you will get a haircut so terrible that you will have to go home and fix it yourself. Yesterday I walked into the store and I asked the blonde haired girl with the wavy hair, if she could give me a cut like a picture I showed her and she said, "yes no problem.". From the moment I sat in her chair, I noticed things weren't right. She wet down my very thick wavy shoulder length hair and then took a small tooth comb and started ripping through my hair in order to cut it.. Then instead of cutting it normal, she would just pick up the ends of my hair with the comb and cut it along the side of the comb. I was looking at her and I told her, "I won't say nothing but I'll just trust the process." When she finally got done cutting the bottom of my hair, she said, "she was going to get to the top crown of my head and cut that so as to make it full" . When she got done, the bottom part of my hair was very thick and stuck out like a triangle. The top of my hair was layered and it was very thinned out and by the time I walked out of there, I was so embarrassed because my hair looked like a huge triangle. Very small and thin at the top and wide and Thick at the bottom. I couldn't believe my eyes and I said to her, "are you serious." She said to me, "well it's a little thick at the bottom, I can thin that out if you want".
Then I said to her, " oh my goodness, I don't even want to look at this". So I put my hair up with my hair clips. She said, "I'm sorry" and then we proceeded to the cash register. She charged me $22 and I gave her $7 tip, only because I felt sorry for her but I should have never given her that tip.. I'm just not that kind of a person but in the end I decided to leave this review, so that others who want to go there know, BEWARE, do not go there.. I should have cut it myself. I would have done a better job. I had to go home and fix it. I regret going there .. This is obviously a place where people go to work, that don't know what they're doing.. Save yourself the aggravation and don't go.. I am furious and I would like to have my money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHave been to Great Clips in Abington for my last two haircuts and was very pleased with the outcome. The stylist took their time, was highly professional and felt as if I was getting very good value for money. I was very pleased to leave a tip and believed I was going to be a repeat customer for some time.
I visited the same location this morning and I had probably the worst haircut I have had. So bad in fact that my wife needed to get out a razor when I got home to fix it. The haircut itself was very short in time which roused my suspicions although I felt as if based on previous experiences that the cut was good. I got home and got a mirror to look at the back and around my ears and was pretty horrified. There was hair left behind my ears, hair straggles not cut and a very uneven approach took to the layering. To pay $19 plus a tip of $5 for this haircut is a complete rip off and am highly disappointed with the outcome
I would be very grateful if someone from management can reach out to me and provide an email / contact number to further...
