We recently discovered the First Watch chain of restaurants last year and have fallen in love with this chain. We have made it a goal to try as many different locations as we can and it’s been so much fun for us adding to our list! But unfortunately, we will not be back to this one. We got there 45 minutes before close. We were seated at the table at the back wall, with the open kitchen right on the other side of us. At almost 2:30 on the dot, the kitchen started blasting (I promise, this was NOT quiet) rap music. Not only did it make the rest of our dining experience very unenjoyable, but our 3 year old daughter was there and they were dropping F bombs and the N word in the songs. I was shocked to see how many staff members walked right past us on the way in and out of the kitchen, and not a single one of them thought it was just inappropriate in general when there are still patrons in the restaurant (there were still a good amount of tables finishing up), and it was even more shocking that no one thought this was inappropriate music given that there was a small child there. I really wanted to say something, but quite frankly when the manager himself came out and sat at the table next to us to total up the day’s numbers, and HE saw no issue with the situation, I just felt like any complaint I made would just be met with annoyance since they clearly felt there was no problem. I just didn’t feel like dealing with it so I let it go since we were finishing up. We drive almost an hour to come here and spent almost $100 for our meal, and I just feel so We just recently discovered the First Watch chain of restaurants last year and have fallen in love with this chain. The atmosphere is lovely, and the food is amazing and always fresh. We have made it a goal to try as many different locations as we can and it’s been so much fun for us adding to our list! This location has the same lovely design as the others (with its own unique take, as they all do), the front desk gal was so polite when we added our name to the list, and we really loved the nice big waiting area. Our waiter was very pleasant, as were several other staff members we interacted with. But unfortunately, we will not be back to this one. We got there 45 minutes before close, so it’s not like we showed up right before close, and plenty of other people showed up around the same time to be seated. I was shocked to see how many staff members walked right past us on the way in and out of the kitchen, not to mention the probably 20+ people in the kitchen, and not a single one of them thought it was just inappropriate in general when there are still patrons in the restaurant (there were still a good amount of tables finishing up), and it was even more shocking that no one thought this was inappropriate music given that there was a small child there. I just didn’t feel like dealing with it so I let it go since we were finishing up. So we look forward to continuing our quest to try as many locations as possible, but we will not be back to this one. It was just disappointing after taking so much time out of our day to be at this specific location, to leave feeling so disrespected and not valued as a patron, who really wanted...
Read moreWe came here on a Monday afternoon when the restaurant was fairly empty and decently staffed. Firstly, after an employee took our drink orders, it took about 10 minutes for a server to greet us and take our food orders.
I ordered the ham and Gruyère sandwich which was soggy and lukewarm, with a side of slightly undercooked potatoes.
My sister ordered a waffle with a side of pork sausage, and was brought bacon by mistake. We notified the server who promptly took the dish back to be corrected, but it was immediately brought back out again with bacon still on the plate. We informed her that it was meant to be sausage and finally received one singular piece.
Our friends omelette came out last and was perfectly fine. The service was very inconsistent and the communication between employees seems to be very poor.
Also, someone who I presume to be a manager knocked over some hot sauce, promptly shouted “F*CK” across the restaurant, and then took about 10 minutes to clean up the broken glass and sauce.
The interior design is trendy and bright, but the atmosphere was diminished by the kitchen staff shouting across the back of the house as if it was 7pm during a Friday dinner rush.
(Additionally, when we arrived, there was a couple seated next to us who stated that they’d been waiting for over 10 minutes and had not been greeted at all. Her meal came out nearly 10 minutes before his, and she politely waited until her companion received his order to eat her now cold dish.)
We are usually not picky eaters which is why I gave the food 2 stars rather than 1, because the quality of ingredients was decent but it was lazily prepared and received lukewarm. The server brought me a to-go box...
Read moreIntroduction: First time at this First Watch location. I chose this location because it was in the middle for me and one of my good friends. When I arrived, my friend was not there but the gentleman was okay with seating me while I wait for her.
Experience: The waitress (Heather) was sweet and patient. My friend was half an hour late. I initially just ordered water for both of us thinking she would be there in a few minutes. The waitress did not keep coming back to my table to ask me if I were ready or do I know how long it would be even though I was already there alone for 30 minutes. I ordered my food before she came.
Welcome: Randy was very kind and welcomed me with a smile. He took me to my seat and thanked me for coming in.
Ambiance: It was a snowy Sunday morning, and the restaurant was pretty filled. It was clean and bright.
Food: I ordered the Tri-fecta with the multigrain pancake and chicken sausage and scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese. My drink (one of my favorites) was the Morning Meditation.
Price: The quality of the food was good and the quantity was satisfying,
I will return to this location because my experience was a good one. I had an issue with something, and I brought it to the attention of my waitress and she immediately informed her manager. At that point I realized the gentleman that seated (Randy) me was the manager. He was very kind and friendly. In treating me as a valued customer he corrected the situation. Thank you Randy, for addressing my concern immediately and your friendly approach in your resolve.
Stars: Five
Tip: This is a nice place to dine. The food is good, the atmosphere is nice, and the service...
