I used to go to the King of Prussia location and loved it. So imagine my excitement when they were moving to my town in Abington! In the time they have been open, I have probably been there 6 or 7 times, and every single time has been disappointing for one reason or another.
There are errors almost every single time I've ordered. A pile of onions on something that shouldn't have had onion. A mountain of tomato when I say no tomato, missing items, wrong items, etc. Especially with COVID, I have tried to just deal with those things.
But now the actual quality of the food is suffering as well as all of the mistakes. Beginning with paying higher prices for less product. Again, I know COVID has made things tough, and many restaurants have raised prices as a result. Fine. But they are also putting noticably less of everything except for lettuce on their food. I ordered fish tacos and there was literally not even two bites worth of fish. After having the skimpiest chicken burrito of my life there last time, I ordered it with extra chicken (at an absurd cost of $6 extra) and STILL, the burrito was tiny. Seriously? An $18 double chicken burrito with beans, rice, corn, cilantro and cabbage, was smaller than an .89 burrito from taco bell and I'm not even kind of exaggerating. To top it all off, I received a bag of unsalted, stale, day old chips and queso so old that there was a layer of "plastic" on it.
To be clear, these are CONSTANT issues. Once or twice is one thing, every time is another. I've given way too many chances and unfortunately, I think this will be...
Read moreToday, July 8, 2021, was my 1st time ever eating at District Taco in Abington, PA. I was very fortunate to have Harris, one of the employees, take Great care of me. He was very Patient, Friendly, Helpful and Informative. And I hit him with lots of questions since I never ate at District Taco before today. But I really liked how he sold me in giving District Taco a fair try and not go to a next door restaurant; he said, " You really won't be disappointed." So I ordered a Quesadilla with carne asada which was marinated steak cubed-cut with onions and cheese, and it came with fresh shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes on the side with sour cream. I also ordered a side of their tortilla chips with salsa. Everything was Delicious and Freshly made right before my eyes. You can build Your own Quesadilla or Taco or Burrito with so many choices of meat/protein and toppings. There's a bunch more on the Menu to choose from and they even have Churros for dessert! Bottom line, Harris was true to his word, You will NOT be Disappointed with anything you eat at District Taco. I truly enjoyed my meal. Oh, side note their drinks are All made with Pure Cane sugar and have several flavors to choose from. I am happy that I gave District Taco a fair chance because their food is Delicious and Service is Awesome! So if you haven't tried District Taco yet do Not Hesitate to do.so if You're in or near Abington, PA you will enjoy...
Read moreI tried this place for the first time. I ate inside since it was open. Placed order on kiosk with payment and no assistance as instructed from "order here" sign. They didn't appear to have enough workers to take orders as many patrons were waiting for food. I never figured out how to add on beverage so I didn't have one. I had to swipe card several times before it was accepted. I ordered 1 burrito, the same as I would at Chipotle or Qdoba. The soft tortilla wasn't toasted so it was very chewy and similar to Qdoba. I didn't see an option to toast the tortilla and presumed it was done automatically. Everything I ordered was included in abundance and the taste was okay. I like that the sauce was placed on the side for me to add on every bite. Unsure if that is standard or the way I ordered it through kiosk. I would eat there again if not hungry. I definitely need a toasted soft tortilla though. Please add this to your kiosk options. The restaurant is see through and clean enough. You can see everything employees are doing which is great. Suggestion: please integrate a screen that shows the orders that are being prepared and ready. It was very hard to hear the employees calling names or numbers (can't remember which one). Staff was nice. Right now, Chipotle is still my fave. This experience wasn't horrible just unusual...
