We have been going to Mister P’s for YEARS! We followed them after they closed their store in NEPhilly…always had a great experience until tonight. We ordered Chicken Marsala and Mr. P’s linguine in white sauce with side salads.
We live approximately 30 minutes away and picked up our food.Once we arrived home and opened our food, it was like nothing we have ever received, and was certainly not the quality of food that we have come to expect after all the years we have ordered.
Our side salads were drenched with water. Now, I can appreciate the fact that the vegetables were washed previously, but to serve with that amount of water is unacceptable.
The Mr. P’s linguine was to be in a white sauce(scampi). There was an inch of water in the container, the entire dish tasted like hot watered noodles..the seafood was boiled.
The chicken Marsala was the same way, sitting in an inch of water with what looked like boiled chicken pieces.
I called the store immediately to express my concern, and the employee was incredibly rude. Once I stated that we order often…she replied so if you order all the time, you clearly like our food. Well, no duh…but this was not their usual food. I tried to explain to her what the issue was, and how far away we live and asked for a credit for the next time. She was very dismissive, condescending, and down right rude…AGAIN NOT WHAT WE HAVE COME TO EXPECT FROM MISTER P’s. When we dine in, we are very friendly with the waitresses as they are with us. They often stand at our table to converse and are very interactive with my 3 young granddaughters. She told me the owner would contact me.
When I initially called, it was only regarding my dinner as my husband did not eat his yet. After I saw that his was the same hot water mess, I again called the store with the intent to ask the owner to call me directly. The girl was incredibly rude and said yeah, we know what’s going on, the owner didn’t come in so we don’t know why you are calling back to say the same thing: had she not been the way she was, she would’ve known that I wasn’t calling to complain about my dinner but also my husbands. I was so taken back by her rude behavior that I said now I see why they have so many bad reviews regarding the rude employees. I don’t know when they changed but they changed and are not the same. Sad, but we are done...
Read moreThe food is okay, nothing special. When you come in, the atmosphere is pretty depressing and the service isn't much better. But they had toys for my kid to play with while we waited for our order, even though my son never got his food.
I ordered a pizza, a pasta, and two slices to go. The cashier was distracted by other employees (I was the only customer in line at the time) and didn't even put the slices on the check. For a $50 tab, I assumed everything was on there, that was my mistake.
While I waited for my food, a young man with special needs came in and tried to order. The same cashier told him, verbatim, "$6.50, honey and I will take care of you", so I assumed she was going to make sure he was fed and such. I watched him struggle to understand what she was saying because she kept talking to him about the cost and moving around instead of giving him her full attention when he kept asking her to repeat herself. As he ate, I noticed he didn't order anything to drink. I hoped the staff would offer him some water or something, but they just stood there joking and flirting with each other in Spanish. Finally, I got sick of watching him choke down his pizza, so I asked him if he'd like a drink and offered to pay for it. I have never had so many employees stare at someone buying a lemonade, but there's a first time for everything, I guess. I'm not coming back. I can get better food and better service from Main Street Pizza or any other place in Abington/Jenkintown. Mister P's menu may have something for everyone in the family, but their service leaves much...
Read moreI ordered online, and choose a marinara pizza and a white pizza with bacon. When the order came the box of onion rings were completely covered in oil soaking the bag completely on the bottom and burned the styrofoam thru. I called the store to ask about why I had received a margherita pizza instead of marinara. She asked me to hold after she told me "that's what you ordered" i have a dairy allergy so I'm very careful when I order, when she came back on she said they can send out the marinara pizza and that I have to return the margherita pizza to the driver and that I'll have to pay the $2 delivery charge. I told her customer service should be honored and I shouldn't have to pay for anything. The cashier begins to argue with me and was very rude. I said to her "so you're saying that you don't believe me that I wanted themarinara pizza" she had the nerve to say yes I believe you are lying. I know I clicked on the right items. Never again will I order from Mr.P's they used to be good but now they are as greasy as their onion rings. Shame on...
