The ER is scary, the thin surgical masks don't feel covid safe. I was in 4 times before I was admitted for 3 days. The ER nurses are waaaay overworked, some of their franticness freaks me out for sterility reasons, I was yelled at by one nurse because I couldn't hear what she said. The security guard, on my third visit, was the one managing pateints in the waiting room, he had to remind the nurse I was there to triage. The ER dr this (hopefully last) 4th time told me to come in when I called ahead to make sure they could help me, despite the nurse Id talked to who said I should go to highland for the endocronologist, then, as a lot of transphobic drs do, suggested it was my testosterone possibly causing the issue. Despite this, he asked that I get admitted, and I was. I felt most listened to by the Drs assistant, most of the nurses were kind, but it seems they don't really get breaks or something which effects their work. Upstairs, the nurses are VERY nice, I've felt very cared for. I will reitterate the cleanliness issues, there was something gross on the bed I had to ask a nurse to clean off for me (couple pictures attached). I wish the mask rules were more strict, a patient was sneezing into the hallway as I was passing pushed in a chair. And the food is not gut safe, a lot of sugar, which as a comfort seems great when stuck in the hospital, chicken pasta was good, but I'm having severe GI issues and they don't have much that has been safe for my symptoms, so I haven't been able to eat much since I've been here, and when I do it made some symptoms worse. I greatly appreciate the kindness of the upstairs nurses and most of the Drs, it's made this stay less stressful.

Went for high blood pressure refused my non narcotic medicine because I wouldn't checking. Filthy rooms, duck tape and plywood on windows. I think the doctor was on something. I would recommend any other hospital or E.R.

This is a terrible hospital with incompetent service!! Do not go here at any cost!! Find an alternative hospital, even in an emergency!!

I went to the ER for pain in my eye, after being told by the on-call nurse at my Primary Care Physician that I needed special equipment to examine my eye that could only be found at a hospital versus Urgent Care, which was my preference, and because it was a weekend. When I got to the hospital, I was asked to help look for this equipment, despite being in pain. Several staff also looked for the equipment which was never found. I was sent home without the issue being resolved and with a prescription for the wrong medication, which I found at later on a follow-up appointment with my ophthalmologist.

Then I got a bill for almost $600 because the ER doctor, Dr. Nguyen, was not in-network even the hospital was. No one told me that at the time even though I presented my insurance card. My insurance denied the claim for the facility fee because the claim was filed too late, 6 months after the date of service. This shows that the billing department is also incompetent. I have tried to contact the hospital multiple times to file a complaint and haven't been able to talk to a real person. I am filing complaints with relevant agencies.

Save yourself from incompetent service and huge bills by finding an...

while i have had a successful hip surgery here, so far the past two nights of inpatient care here have been the nights of sleep deprevation. The nurses are competent and sweet, but the entire service is way too slow. Yesterday, i alerted them a 7:30 a.m. about the start of migrain but was't given medicine until 10:30 and by then it was too late. That is because they can't give medicine without physician's approval and getting doctors to respond is not a quick process. Consequently I suffered from a thrubing head and severe nausea all day. This kind of service has been accross all requests. People who have family membees with them get attention right away, but when family leaves you are frequently ignored, no matter which machine beeps in your room and how many time you push the call button the response usually is slow. I like the nurses here and the doctors are fine too. Coordiation, communication, chart updates etc as well as management is flawed. Also the facility too old and too small for the moving equippments. In closing i give the nurses 4.5 star, the doctors 4, the facility a 2, other staff 4 and the mangement 1.5. I think a lot of their communication issues have to do with their management and their protocol of keeping communication charts,...
