Organising a gift for someone long-distance can be extremely difficult, especially when it needs to arrive on a specific day.

Eleen, Matt O, and the team at Modern Mouse were able to do that for me without any hesitation. Although the online store had a comprehensive display of items on offer, Matt went above and beyond by emailing me additional gift suggestions specifically tailored to the occasion.

All of my queries were responded to promptly. After getting in contact with Matt, I was reassured that there would be no issue getting the gift sorted out for the date I needed it delivered. Usually when I order a product online, there is a feeling of uncertainty that issues happening throughout the ordering process may cause delays. Instead, I was able to call to discuss any concerns I had, and everything ran smoothly.

This is a great that that I visit most times I'm in town. They have some fun local art labelled for Alameda and Oakland. There is always a good selection of cards and T shirts. The shop might be small, but very well stocked. The staff are friendly and have helped me get special orders from their artists.

(As an older Brit I tend to think of a star rating as going from 1 star being good and 5 star being the luxury suite at the Ritz on its best day, but I understand Google maps the ratings is a little different, I probably should be using 5 stars more...

I was looking for local postcards and this store popped up when I searched for gifts. Unfortunately they don't offer in store shopping. Fortunately the owner was there and I was able to safely peruse their postcards. I was able to buy the postcards without ever setting foot inside the store. The owner was very careful to socially distance and keep things safe and sanitary. I liked it so much, I went online and ordered more things. I hope to be able to shop in store eventually. I love supporting local businesses...
