If you're looking for a fresh and flavorful poke experience in Alameda, look no further than Poke House! I recently visited this gem and was absolutely blown away by the quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the menu.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly staff who were more than happy to guide me through their offerings. The ambiance is bright and inviting, perfect for a casual lunch or a quick dinner. I appreciated how clean and well-organized everything was, which set the right tone for what was to come.
Now, let’s talk about the poke! I opted for the classic Ahi Tuna bowl, and it did not disappoint. The fish was incredibly fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. I loved the variety of toppings available—everything from avocado and seaweed salad to spicy mayo and sesame seeds. The best part? You can customize your bowl to your heart's content, which is a huge plus for anyone with specific tastes or dietary preferences.
I also added a side of their house-made miso soup, which was the perfect complement to my poke bowl. It was warm and comforting, with just the right balance of flavor.
Another highlight was the pricing; for the quality of the food, I found it to be very reasonable. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring I left feeling satisfied without breaking the bank.
Overall, Poke House has quickly become my go-to spot for poke in Alameda. Whether you're a poke aficionado or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and try more combinations! Highly...
Read moreA new Poke place in South Shore Alameda opened a few days ago. This was my first time trying this place. I didn't have high expectations because it's new, and I was sure there were certain things that needed to be improved. I ordered a Roasted Miso Chicken and my friend had spicy tuna.ije was about 12 bucks and his was about 16 bucks. When I looked at the menu board, it did say any bowl with a drink but it didn't have a price. I assumed it's free but it was not and it supposed to be 2 dollars more. They needed to change that because it was misleading. We both agreed that the overall quality of the food was just medicore. The base which was rice filled only 1/4 to 1/3 of the bowl. The sauce was not enough and only placed on the top of toppings. My bowl had about 4 pcs of chicken and the rest was the sides. Of course the prices would increase if you order more toppings... are their quality and quantity of food worth the prices? Personally speaking... No. It's quite expensive. Maybe filling up the rice or the other base choice more than 1/3. Like I said earlier... it still needs some improvement. Would I come back? It's...
Read moreI stopped by Poke House for a quick lunch and tried their House Salmon bowl. The portion size was generous and satisfying, making it feel like good value right off the bat. The highlight was definitely the salmon itself—fresh, clean-tasting, and prepared with care, which made every bite enjoyable. The only element I didn’t love was the seaweed that came with the bowl; its flavor felt a bit overpowering compared to the rest of the ingredients.
Service was efficient and no-fuss—my order came out quickly, making it an easy spot for a lunch break without a long wait. The staff was professional and kept things moving smoothly, which fit perfectly with the casual style of the place.
As for the ambiance, it’s a small, no-frills restaurant with a relaxed and welcoming vibe. The layout works well for a quick bite, though it’s not the type of space where you’d linger for hours.
Overall, Poke House is a solid choice if you’re craving fresh salmon and need a fast, satisfying meal. The quality fish and quick service make it stand out as a lunch spot, even if the seaweed wasn’t quite...
