If I could Iâd give this place zero stars. Last night my sister and our friend walked in Kohlâs and she went to go look for some clothes and we told her we were going over to the menâs section to look for something. so while we walked over there I was looking everywhere for a dang trash can and couldnât find one because I was trying to open a push pop I bought from F.Y.E at the Albany mall. So we get over there and I tell her I couldnât find one so Iâll just set the plastic that comes off the candy for someone else (the janitor) to come pick up later. We walked away and some black older lady that works there walked over and picked it up and my sister noticed and she told me that she picked it up. She followed us all over the store then stopped me and asked if I needed any help and I replied that I didnât. So I walked away and mine and my sisters friend is over there alone and the older black employee starts saying âare you with them?â And she answered that she was then the lady said like âif they think theyâre getting away with stealing then they arenât going anywhere, theyâre being watched.â So our friend finds us and told us thatâs what she said to her. Instead of coming to me asking and asking me questions about the plastic I put on the counter the lady goes and tells everyone that works there Iâm trying to steal and they probably thought I was a terrible person because they just assume something instead of asking me what the deal was. They basically made me feel uncomfortable the whole time I was there with my sister and our friend. that was a very inappropriate way to handle a situation. Instead they just assumed.    Read moreI give 5 stars to the store clerks who were very helpful and nice. I give no stars to the area Manger, Barbara because she was very rude, not helpful, and lied about the merchandise being available. My husband and I entered the store for the second time that night because one of the clerks accidentally gave us the wrong colored fitbit watch. We didn't realized it until we got home, which is 15 minutes away. We had to turn around and go back to the store. Fast forward, we entered the store and talked to a nice clerk about our situation. Then Barbara rudely intervenes and tells us that we can't return it, go online and exchange it, and said that she sold the last one earlier. First of all, she didn't even listen to our situation. My husband told her we just came in and it was another one in the back. Again, she said that it wasn't because she sold the last one. We decided to look for ourselves. Upon getting to the fitbit counter we immediately saw another one in the case. However, we had to wait until someone opened the case. Barbara knew the case had to be opened, but she didn't even bother to help us. Eventually, a nice clerk comes along and helps us resolve our situation. Before we left, my husband respectfully expressed to Barbara that her behavior was unexceptable. We will not go back in Kohl's unless Barbara is not working on that day. I suggest that Kohl's puts one of the nice clerks in her position. The management from this store told me I needed to make a purchase. âShe said purchase anything to get your giftâ. This is violation of the policy to redeem your birthday gift. It explicitly says that no purchase required in store on Sephora and Sephora at Kohlsâs website. This store is making up their own rules. I asked for this to be shown to me in writing. Of course, no one could show it to me because this rule doesnât exist. I will never spend another dime with this store for making up practices that are not company policies.
