Hooters — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Let me start by saying I have been in the restaurant industry for 12 years, and I used to love this place. I used to say they had the best grilled cheese on the planet, it was thick texas toast with tons of cheese with delicious curly fries. Last night was by far one of the worst experiences I've had in a restaurant.

We were never greeted by anyone, even though there were 2 servers and what appeared to be a manager standing near the front talking to each other, apparently just goofing off. We finally went out to the patio and asked if we could seat ourselves to which we were told "uhh...... ya" Seriously? we shook that off, maybe the server was having a bad day, we've all been there. It took her way too long to get our drinks, then she brought the wrong ones. We were still nice and just asked for the correct ones, which she finally brought. We ordered cheese sticks to start for our kids. Those were the only good thing about the experience. We ordered 10 traditional medium with a side of curly fries, a grilled cheese and fries, and a cheese quesadilla. The food came out about 15 minutes later and was only sort of warm. The wings were so greasy, and had no sauce. The fries were all pretty much cold, the grilled cheese was small smashed flat and barely warm. The quesadilla was slightly burnt, yet not even hot either. The server didn't check back in on us. We finally grabbed another server and asked for an extra side of medium wing sauce for the wings. She brought us back what looked like curdled cheese out of a can. We were so disgusted with everything we just paid and left.

This place has gone so downhill, management should be ashamed. I don't know if this Hooters is privately owned or corporate owned, but whoever is in charge should step in and do an overhaul because the food was disgusting and the service less...

I USE to Love coming here to eat, but Now I won't waste my time or money here!! I came with my husband to eat and we were told we could have any open table (outside). So we found a table and then waited 15 mins for a waitress to take our order.... Nothing.. Several waitress saw us and NOTHING! Finally I had to stop a waitress who was ignoring us and tell her we needed service.. She said she would get us "our" waitress! So then we waited another 15 mins!!! This time my husband went up to the bar and told the bartender that we need service and we are being ignored!! After that we got service,but it just got worse!! Our waitress was just .... I won't say the words and she was training a new girl. We asked for our drinks and didn't get our drinks till after our food came! I didn't enjoy our food or drinks! Our waitress didn't want to serve our table from what we felt!! But she was Very helpful with the table next to ours that were All males!! At the end she pretty much threw her girl in training at us and she apologized several times, but the damage was already done. Paid our bill , NO TIP! We talked to the manager,but didn't feel like it mattered.. Save your money and Go Somewhere else! Like I said ...I use Love coming here, but the Service and...

So... I haven't been to a Hooters restaurant in a few months. Well, today while having lunch with family, I decided to go outside my norm and order some naked wings. I got the bacon wrapped wings, lemon pepper, and Cajun wings along with the regular hot breaded wings. I tried the naked wings and found that they were overly dry. I asked my cousin and her husband if they were dry and they agreed. My niece didn't mind the bacon wrapped wings even though those were dry too. The breaded wings weren't the best, I think the sauce helped hide the dryness. I brought it to the attention of the manager on the floor, he looked at what was left and took it all. He said that because I said they were the worst Hooter wings I've had he took all of them even though I said the breaded ones weren't so bad. He took 50% off the price. He basically made us pay for the crappy pieces plus about 10 of the breaded ones (originally there were 30) I guess I was warned from the beginning since the first batch of fried pickles came to us burnt as well! Plus our friend we invited thought that his wings had way too much BBQ sauce. Just a fair warning for you all. I'm just upset we paid for crappy food.
