My Fiance and I went to Men's Warehouse looking to rent 10 tuxedos for our upcoming wedding. When we walked in there was a dog barking and we were greeted by a gentleman that was on the phone, he told us to hang on a bit.
When he ended his call he directed us to the tuxedo rental desk in the back of the store. He wasn't at all enthusiastic about anything. He asked what our colors were, he threw down their blue vest samples and basically directed us to pick one. He then pointed to the three sample tuxedo jackets they had hanging on the wall and told us to pick one of those. He seemed a little put out when my fiance asked to try one on. He noted that we were lucky because he seemed to be the mannequin size and that's the only one they had in the store. He handed it to him, right in the middle of the store and said try it on. No dressing room, no shirt, no vest, no pants...Dogs barking in the back ground.
Maybe my expectations were too high, maybe I just don't understand how they do business, but I can't imagine renting tuxedo for a pretty sizable amount of money without ever having tried it on. What if he hadn't been the mannequin size? Tough luck?
After we'd decided which coat we liked, we sat back down at the desk and he just began typing up an order, he didn't give us a price until I asked, he didn't ask us if we were ready to proceed with making the reservation, he just started doing things. Then he took a phone call. I wish I were exaggerating when I said that this phone call went on and on he continued clicking and typing and talking, but not to us. After what must have been 10 minutes, we decided to leave.
I was prepared to give them $2000 worth of business, but his phone call was more important. I would recommend going to a local shop for tuxedo rentals. They have everything in town, ready for you to try on and the day of your event if something doesn't fit, if someone loses a cuff link, they're all right down the street. If that happens with Men's Warehouse, there isn't going to be much they...
Read moreI love the clothes and the people. They are human so they aren't perfect nor should they be expected to be BUT I do think there is a bit of a issue with the sales people getting paid on commision as it causes them to be judgmental of people that walk in the door and it is costing you customers. I have seen it and have even been part of it when I wasn't dressed like I already shop there(there is a first time for everything) nor was I with the nicest "looking" crowd after work and all... As for the store; great selection and decent availability. I would like to see an accessories section as the people that shop there on a regular basis are 90% people that want a large selection of tie bars/studs, cufflinks, collar stays, and even pocket watches. All of these with the exception of the pocket watches are all over the place... not the easiest way to pick out much less find what you have in mind. The maneger took good care after a pretty bad mix up about a jacket. It seems they have the very best intentions with the cloud of not giving everyone(no matter how they appear) the same treatment. Just give everyone the same first 5 minutes of care. Oh and get the boxes off the show room floor before opening! This isn't K-Mart so act like it. ;-) Im just messin'. You guys are great. I have and will continue to recommend you. With all the sales opportunities from the app you really should play that up a bit more! I have made a killing on the stuff I have purchased! It was cyber monday and all but today was HUGE! I Spent $100 on 2 cashmere sweaters valued at $250 each!!! Because the app got me in the door and then I couldn't pass up that deal! Use it to get people...
Read moreLet me first start by saying some mandatory training in sales orders and working with business clients is in need for this store since even the manager was baffled. My visit started out pleasant and an energetic associate helped me pick out some suits. Really outgoing individual, didn't catch his name but he should be looked at for replacing your current manager Leslie. I received a suit voucher gifted from work for $300, however I forgot to bring the original voucher. I had a family member send a picture to my phone because I live 3 hours from Albuquerque. It was my fault for being forgetful and I take ownership on that just so were clear. I asked the manager if she could reach out and see if there was anything we could do based on the situation. She refused to reach out on her end and stated I should come back next week with the voucher. I took it upon myself to call MW customer relations and upon explaining the situation a cs manger approved the sale with leslie. Now I'm thinking we are getting somewhere.....not. While getting support over the phone because she doesnt know how to do a sales order she blatantly (as to sabotage the approval) brings it up with this different associate that we dont have the letter and I am once again basically told to piss off. I once again reached out to MW sales support to and after 40 minutes on the phone and then having to argue with Leslie they finally approved it once again. I spent nearly 5 hours in this store due to lack of effort. My advice to Leslie.....reach out for help sometimes. You don't have all the answers. If your a business reading this....stay away. There is another location in...
