Since moving to Albuquerque I have only tried 4 sushi places including Sushi Roller. I just cant get enough of this place, so dont let the fact that its in a mall food court deter you. Its always fresh and you can see the care they put into the nigiri and rolls. My absolute two favorite rolls are the Cottonwood Roll and the Salmon skin roll. They are full of flavor, and the Salmon skin roll looks as if it is a work of art. As for the nigiri, the Salmon and Yellowtail are fantastic. They give you a regular and spicy option for the nigiri and i recommend both. They have some hot food items I have yet to try, thats just because the sushi is to good to pass up. Yes, heads up, Sushi Roller is simply a stall in the food court of the Cottonwood Mall. So there is no ambiance if you are dining in. But, rest assured, the food more than makes up for it. Our meal was as good, if not better, than many of the sushi restaurants we have tried. We ordered the Miso soup, Seaweed Salad, Salmon Sashimi, Spicy Salmon Roll and the Red Dragon Roll. The portions were generous and each entree was delicious! If the venue turns you off, keep in mind that they have takeout as well....

Price- comparable to all the other places Value- bigger rolls, more pieces Presentation- tighter rolls. They don’t fall apart when your stick touches it Taste- has flavor: burst in your mouth flavor Shrimp- anyone ever get a short shrimp tempura roll and wonder where have all the shrimp gone (Paula?)? I don’t need a roll to remind me about my ex.
