So, we decided to check out Diko Hookah Bar, lured by the promise of a cool, relaxed vibe. Reality check: it felt more like crashing a club where the volume's cranked to max. You'd think you're there to kick back with friends and a hookah, but nah, you're actually auditioning for a lip-reading contest thanks to the blasting music.

The place was not crowded, as expected for a Saturday night, which should've been our first hint. We just wanted a simple hookah experience, but the waiter seemed more interested in pushing drinks before we could even glance at the food menu—which, by the way, was not very elaborate by any means.

We tried to backtrack on the hookah order after realizing food options were slim, but apparently, that was a bigger commitment than we thought and couldn't be cancelled even though it was only 3-4 minutes. The hookah arrived a few more minutes, and by then, we were already plotting our escape from the noise and just decided to take our loses, pay and leave.

When we asked for the bill, we got slapped with an extra "$10 per person" charge we never saw coming. Apparently, each hookah only covers 2 person, and since it's 4 of us we have to pay the upcharge, which they forgot mention before we ordered. Trying to resolve it felt like negotiating peace talks between, only with a manager who couldn't care less. Ended up paying just to get out and promised ourselves never to return.

Pros: Vibes were there with the music, decent sized lounge where you don’t feel people are on top of you, inside was clean and nice decor

The menus didn’t have any prices or descriptions which left room for a lot of questions. Our server wasn’t too knowledgeable of the menu..at least know what the diko special is. She did check in enough but never offered water. The manager was just sitting chilling and never checked in on any tables The drinks were very mid and tasted artificial, which I found odd for a strawberry margarita and blue motorcycle. Unfortunately I had to ask for the blue motorcycles to be remade. it looked like a blue Powerade and tasted only like blue curaçao. My sisters boyfriend wasn’t thrilled with his old fashioned. He shared his mozzarella sticks and veggie rolls were fine, nothing to rave about. The hookah flavor was what it should have been. They did come check on the coal without prompting. Now the check was confusing. There was 2 different taxes and when we asked the server she was also unaware.
