Awesome new Halal restaurant, such a gem and find in Alexandria. Had the urge to have some Chicken and Gyro and found Zaytoun to be in the area and fairly brand new so I immediately explored what items they offered.
I checked the websites menu/order system and found it it be a simple and straightforward process for making online orders. I also appreciated the high quality photos provided of each item making it easier to visualize and determine what to order. And another major positive is the food received was accurate to the photos shown on the website!
The interior of the restaurant was spacious, welcoming, and extremely clean. The entire menu is displayed on multiple mounted TV's making it easy to read and order on the spot as well. Kitchen layout was also open so customers could see everything being made right before their eyes. Again, extremely clean kitchen space and organized layout of all items/ingredients which provides a transparent and reassured experience for us as customers.
Upon returning home, we were eager to try everything that we ordered (Combo Over Rice, Combo Kebab Platter, Philly Cheesesteak). I am happy to say that our expectations were exceeded. Cheesesteak sandwich was hefty, warm, and flavorful! Chicken and Adana meat were flavorful, tender, and seasoned to perfection! Sauces were a nice addition that provided a medley of flavors that enhanced the meals. Not overly drenched in sauce as well but if you love drowning your plates in sauce, be sure to let the staff know and they'll be able to adjust to your preference!
Highly recommend the items we ordered and I'm certain you can't go wrong with anything they offer on their menu. Prices were also extremely fair for the amount of food we received! Amazing value for the high quality food that they're providing. All staff and the owner were so kind as well and go above and beyond to ensure all customers were happy as well. You can tell they genuinely care about providing a great experience and service for their patrons.
Wishing them continued success and love from the community and I will definitely be back again soon! Highly recommend to anyone that is...
Read moreSo I went to Zaytoun Halal Grill after seeing their chopped cheese on Instagram, and I was super excited to try it. I ordered through their app and picked the chopped cheese that was advertised to include grilled onions, bell peppers, ketchup, lettuce, cheese, and mayo. In the app, there was an option to customize, so I selected no lettuce because I don’t like lettuce — but I still wanted everything else as listed. First off, I have to say the people working there were some of the sweetest I’ve encountered. This was my first time visiting, and I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and helpful everyone was. Before I ordered, I asked about the difference between the spicy and non-spicy chopped cheese, and one of the guys there explained it clearly, which I appreciated. When I got home, though, I was disappointed to find that my sandwich didn’t have any grilled onions or grilled peppers — and unfortunately, the meat was a bit overcooked. So while I was really looking forward to it, the chopped cheese just didn’t hit the mark for me. That said, I also ordered the chicken over rice combo while I was there — and that was amazing. Flavorful, well-seasoned, and honestly the highlight of my meal. So overall, while I probably wouldn’t come back for the chopped cheese based on how it turned out, I’d definitely return for the chicken over rice or other Halal options. Again, the customer service was really amazing and that alone makes me want to give them...

While browsing Instagram, like most of us do, I came across a reel for Zaytoun Halal Grill. So what do any foodie who has Instagram do, I created a a place for saved food spots and added them to it for a later date.
Well last night (1/31/2025), I finally decided to try them out with my friend. We were out and about taking care of some business. After we finished, I suggested either Cava or Zaytoun. I showed her their real and she said "that's our answer!". LOL!
As we arrived at the restaurant, we noticed the brightness of the restaurant, which is very welcoming. The only drawback is the parking lot is small since the restaurant is in a small corner next to a Mobil/Exxon (I think). We walked in and was greeted by the manager. He is very nice and has a sense of humor.
We ordered two combo over rice platters,6 Mango Habanero wings, and onion rings. The food was delicious and fresh. The sauces enhanced the platters but seriously, they're good even without them. The fries were good and held up after cooling off. The onion rings were definitely good too. As a connoisseur of onion rings (lol), these were some really good onion rings. The wings were delicious too. They were a nice size and I tasted like they were made to order so the freshness...
