This is such a cute little spot, even for adults that makes for a fun girls day out or a cute date with a partner! Location is centrally located in the heart of King Street in Old Town Alexandria.
They do not take reservations (unless you have parties of 6 or more I believe), but the wait time is minimal to none depending on what day you go. I went with a friend on a Saturday in the middle of the day and it was pretty crowded, but we still didn't have to wait long which was great! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in explaining to us how the process works.
I found the pricing to be pretty inexpensive, which was pleasantly surprising! The studio fee is $8 an hour and anything over an hour is $12 maximum for the day. They offer a wide variety of ceramics to choose from as well as a huge selection of paint colors. My friend and I spent around $10 per item and spent a few hours there. It took us a bit more time than expected by the time we decided on our ceramics, picked out our paint colors, and actually got to work on them, so I would suggest to plan accordingly and allow some extra time just in case.
Once you are finished you leave the ceramics with them to take care of the firing process! The turnaround time to pick up our pieces was only two weeks. The pick up process was very organized and smooth and our pieces turned out amazing! This was such a fun experience that I would highly recommend for any activity whether that be a kids birthday party, bachelorette party with the girls, family bonding, or a...
Read moreI would not come here with small children. Just left from a session with my 4 and 5 year old. Got death stares from everyone in the store including the workers. My children are very happy friendly kids and they smiled, said hello and waved at the workers. No one smiled once or waved back or even said hello. My children enjoyed but me being an adult did not as I did not feel welcomed. The atmosphere was not friendly. The faces were bland and tired. Not one friendly face and there were three people working. So disappointed with the customer service! Also, it’s very small in there. At the end, I was having trouble gathering my kids and paying as there were so many people and the person behind the desk asked if I put the dates on my pieces, i said no just my initials. She asked me to put the date as I’m wrestling with tons of stuff in my hand. At that point i didn’t care and told her i can’t due to the lack of space and my children needing me to hold their hand. The kind thing would’ve been for her to offer to add the date for me. It was as if they didn’t even see I had children. Wouldn’t even look at them. Idk the energy was weird. I do...
Read moreGiving one star is a stretch- we booked this location for my daughters birthday party and we were stood up by the business. Not only did it ruin my 6 year olds birthday, but it left me high and dry to scramble at party time to figure something out. I confirmed the party twice in person with the manager and when we showed up at the agreed upon time and date there was no one around. I got a call 4 hours after the party to offer me a complimentary session where I still paid for all the pieces but “that was all they could do” even after admitting they were wrong, missed my daughters planned party, ruined an event they agreed to, and “panicked when they saw the event they missed”. I cannot recommend this business to anyone due to their lack of professionalism, customer service, and the fact that they ruined my daughters birthday party where we planned to have 15 little girls come paint for 2 hours. Extremely frustrated and I hope others find different places to host...
