King Street Cafe — Restaurant in Alexandria

Atmosphere was depressing and service was average. Just buying some sandwhiches. The price was more than I expected I ordered 3 sandwhiches and a juice and it came out to 45$. Not insane considering prices these days but for how dumpy the place is I was hoping to walk out paying 35$ tops. That said, the King Street sandwich was fantastic. The Cali club was average but healthy portions. The food was ready when I arrived in 15 minutes and was still warm. I got the Turkey Special on Rye and it was just… okay? Reading the other reviews makes me wish I had checked them out for recommendations before placing my order, but I had high hopes based on the review average and pricing and was just a bit disappointed.

The shop itself was quite dull in atmosphere, and while I don’t expect every staff member to act like they work for disney, I did feel like I was inconveniencing them just by being there. This place is a gem hidden in plain sight. It is surrounded by expensive restaurants. I have tried many but I still have yet to find a place to eat that is this good. (I work nearby so I have to find a place to eat)I have no other way to say this. They make REAL food.
